For my project, I pulled out the adorable Second City collection and lots of Therm O Web goodies to create a pair of fun cards, and I am happy to share the first of them here with you today. I know you all are familiar with Therm O Web’s adhesives, but did you know they make fun embellishments, too? I focused on one of these newer embellishments in my cards today, the Glitter Dust Deco Photo Frames.
For my first card, I used a purple scalloped circle Glitter Dust frame to highlight the focal feature of my design. Love how the printed chipboard and flair button nestle perfectly within the frame. Layering the frame with additional die cuts and embellishments draws lots of attention to my focal point, and is a great tip when using smaller accent pieces, like the flair button. I used 3D Adhesive Squares on the sentiment strip for a bit of extra dimension and drama, too.
I’m not normally a purple girl, but I am loving the combo here. So bright and happy, and really eye catching for fall. I used more purple on my second card, too, which you can see over on the BasicGrey blog today. And don’t forget about our amazing prize packages..

Oh wow these colors are awesome. I don’t use purple much either, but I sure like this. The orange is a wonderful contrast and that little cityscape scene on the center is so cute. Another example of your design genius!
