Under Your Spell with Therm O Web & Rabbit Hole Designs

Hello crafty friends, happy weekend! I’m back today to share a second card that I made for our recent Rabbit Hole Designs match up on the Therm O Web blog. You all know how much I love Halloween, and with it less than a week away now, I’m trying to squeeze in as many pumpkins as I can. This time, I’m using an adorable Halloween set called Gourd-geous.

Pumpkin witches? Yes, please! They definitely have me under their spell. These cute pumpkins were colored with Copic markers and then die cut with their coordinating die set. The spider and sentiment are from the same set, too. Once again I used Sweet Mango Glitz Glitter Gel to add some holiday sparkle to the back of the frame.

The frame was made from Therm O Web’s Black Onyx cardstock and a rectangle die from the GinaK Designs collection. The die cut out the inner window opening, and I trimmed the outside edges to size, leaving enough room on two sides to add a decorative scalloped border. The scallops are from Tim Holtz’s Stitched Ovals die set and come in two sizes. I used both for a bit of interest here.

I’ve got the complete step-by-step tutorial up on the Therm O Web blog, if you’d like to learn more.

Pumpkin Friends with Therm O Web & Rabbit Hole Designs

#pumpkineverything… that pretty much sums me up to a T! I just absolutely adore every little thing about pumpkins, and they are by far one of my top favorite reasons for loving the fall season. So of course I could not resist this adorable Pumpkin Friends stamp set by Rabbit Hole Designs, and snatched it up for our recent match-up on the Therm O Web blog.

Who doesn’t like a little sparkle for the holidays, too? These fun glittery polka dots add such great texture and shine, and are so easy to make with just a simple stencil and some of Therm O Web’s Glitz Glitter Gels. I added lots of layers of crisp white cardstock, and backed the card with pretty patterned papers for a classic Halloween color combo. The pumpkins are colored with Copic markers and the frame die cut with some Therm O Web GinaK Designs dies.

If friends were pumpkins, y’all, I’d pick you!
Check out the full step-by-step tutorial on the Therm O Web blog, if you’d like to learn more. Happy Halloween!

Feeling Corny with Therm O Web & AudOnes Prims

Hello, friends! Happy Wednesday! Today is a somber day as we remember all those affected by the tragedies of 9/11. We shall never forget this day that changed the history of our country forever. I have just come from dropping my parents off at the airport after a very wonderful three week visit with them, so today is just that little bit extra hard to have them leave and fly on this day.

After being on vacation mode these past several weeks, I’m hoping to play catch up here on my blog with a project post today for both Therm O Web and my little AudOnes Prims shop. It’s been quite some time since I listed anything in my shop, but that is my plan for the next few days, starting with these silly sweet corn on the cob prims that I made over the summer for the Therm O Web blog. These little cuties feature a combo of my favorite fabrics from Crossroads Denim and Blend Fabrics designer Cori Dantini along with Therm O Web Stitchn’Sew fleece.

If you’d like to give these corny corns a try, I’ve got the full step-by-step tutorial up on the Therm O Web blog.

Or, you can find this trio of cobs listed now in my Shop! (And hopefully a few other cuties will be joining them, too)

Enjoy the rest of your week, friends! And happy weekend ahead!

Best in the Mewniverse with Therm O Web & Heffy Doodle

Hi crafty friends!

It’s Heffy Doodle collaboration week at the Therm O Web blog. I’m up today with a pair of quick and easy friendship cards featuring adorable Heffy Doodle stamps and dies mixed with Therm O Web’s awesome new iCraft Deco Foil Flock.

I am always a sucker for cute critters and silly puns, so of course I couldn’t resist this sweet Mewniverse stamp set from Heffy Doodle. One of my besties looooooves cats, like to self-proclaimed crazy cat lady levels… and these two cards are definitely going to her.

The cards are a petite 3.5″ x 5″ size, and I kept the designs uniform with similar elements. All the images were stamped onto Therm O Web Luxury White cardstock, die cut with the matching dies, and colored with Copic markers. I used GinaK Designs nested dies to create the stitched rectangle and circle frames.

The puffy cloud backgrounds on both cards were made with a cloud punch and a blend of blue and green Distress inks.

The leftover cloud shapes used for the stenciling made great embellishments for card #2, and I threw in some patterned paper for extra detailing on this card, too. Heffy Doodle Stitched Slopey Joes Border Dies and Green Envy Flock sheets made the cute little grassy hills.

I’ve got the full step-by-step tutorial for both of these cards up on the Therm O Web blog, if you’d like to learn more. And we’ve got an awesome Therm O Web & Heffy Doodle prize of a $30 shopping spree, so be sure to enter our giveaway drawing while you are there.

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you’re having a beautiful sunshiny week!

International Scrapbook Day 2019 with Therm O Web

interNational Scrapbook Day 2019

Hello, Crafty Friends! Happy International Scrapbook Day! Today is a fun day for those of us who love papercrafts, whether it’s preserving precious photos and memories on scrapbook pages, or simply cutting and pasting pretty papers and embellishments together on cards, altered art, or journal pages. Hope you all have a few moments to get crafty today!

Earlier this week I shared one of two cards that I made for the Kindred Stamps collaboration on the Therm O Web blog, and today I’m back with the second. Once again, this is the cute The Great Outdoors stamp set, along with a basket weave background made with Therm O Web’s new iCraft Deco Foil Metallix Gel. This time, I used White Pearl Metallix on kraft cardstock for the reverse look to the fishing card.

I pulled in several elements from the first card to create a matching set, like the puffy white clouds, baker’s twine ties, and patterned paper strips. I made my own patterned paper with the duck image from the set, and for a bit of a different look, I placed the basket weave panel at an angle. The images were colored with Copic markers. Made my first attempt at camo patterning on my little sharp-shooter friend.

I’ve got the full step-by-step tutorial for creating these cards and the Metallix Gel backgrounds up on the Therm O Web blog, if you’d like to learn more. And there’s still time to enter our giveaway drawing for a $25 gift card to the Therm O Web e-store, so be sure to enter the rafflecopter drawing while you are there.

And if you’re looking for some fun and inspiration for International Scrapbook Day today, be sure to stop by the Therm O Web blog for a sketch challenge, ideas, inspiration, and another great giveaway. Details are HERE.

Thanks for stopping by! Happy scrapping!

Good Things Come with Therm O Web & Kindred Stamps

Happy May! The year is flying by, and I’m still finding it difficult to get back to a regular blogging schedule these days, but I’m happy to say that I’m back today with a new project to share. This time, a fun summer-inspired card that I made for the Kindred Stamps collaboration on the Therm O Web blog this week.

My little Missy Nik has always loved going camping and fishing (of the catch and release variety), so this adorable stamp set by Kindred Stamps called The Great Outdoors totally made me think of her. She is quickly coming down to her last few days of finals of her second year at college, and I’m planning to surprise her with this card when she’s done. That girl loves a good pun, and she can’t wait to be finished for the year, so this card will be right up her alley.

For this card, I made a round port-hole window scene using dies from the Therm O Web GinaK Designs collection, and filled it with images from the set, big puffy white clouds, and a water border made from the negative edge of a die cut scallop strip. The cutie patootie fisherman and his trout friend are Copic colored. I added a bit of twine and a thin paper strip. That cool background was made with Kindred Stamps’ Basketweave stencil and Therm O Web’s new iCraft Deco Foil Metallix Gel. A great way to add texture and shine to all your paper crafting projects.

Metallix Gel comes in a variety of colors, and requires no special tools or techniques to use. I’ve got a full step-by-step tutorial for this card, as well as a second hunting and fishing design, up on the Therm O Web blog, if you’d like to learn more.

Be sure to get entered in our prize giveaway while you are there for a chance to win a $25 gift card to the Therm O Web e-store. And thanks so much for stopping by!

My Person with Therm O Web

Happy Monday, crafty peeps, and happy Labor Day holiday to all my friends and family in the States. I’m always excited for a three-day weekend to roll around, but this one in particular holds special meaning to me, as Labor Day also happens to be my boy’s birthday. His 23rd, to be exact! Oh.my.word, tell me how he’s gotten to be 23 already!!

I’m sure it comes as no surprise that my two kiddos are definitely my “people”… my tribe. So I thought it was very fitting to share this card today that I made recently for the Therm O Web blog with foils and dies from GinaK, and the adorable Simple Stories Hello Summer collection.

How great is that sentiment? You are my person. Framed in crisp, bold black, and set off with beautiful two-toned Fancy Foil shine. And for a bit of a fun, a die cut window opening for a little interactive surprise. I’ve got the complete step-by-step tutorial up on the Therm O Web blog, if you’d like to learn more.

Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you all have a wonderful day! Any big holiday plans in the works?
