Happy Friday, Friends!
Today I have one last Thanksgiving card to share, made with the adorable Pumpkin Spice collection by Simple Stories.
Fall is such a happy time of year, and that’s just what this collection is, too…. happy! Love the bright colors mixed with rustic tones of woodgrain and gingham.
I do love Simple Stories’ chipboard frames, and use them all the time for framework on my cards. This time, I created a fun fall scene with a SN@P card background and Bits & Pieces die cuts.
The die cut fence behind the frame really adds to the fall scene here and helps create the illusion of depth and space. I added a tiny bit of twine and a few enamel dots. Popped some of the layers with foam tape for a bit of extra dimension.
Thanks so much for stopping by! It’s my birthday weekend, and I’m hoping to make the best of it. 😀 Hope you all have a wonderful weekend, too!

Hi everyone, and happy Friday! Yay for the weekend, right? I know I am always grateful when the weekend rolls around. So I thought today would be the perfect day to share this fun thank you card I made recently for the Simple Stories blog, featuring the adorable I Am collection.
I absolutely adore the script font of this beautiful wood veneer sentiment, and wanted to make it the focal point of my card. Love the large size and how it takes center stage in this simple card design. I decided to alter the wood veneer a bit, to make it stand out even more.
The Wood Veneers are beautiful in their natural state, but are also super easy to alter and embellish to create your own unique embellishments. The “grateful” sentiment piece used here was colored with a Worn Lipstick Distress Marker, which was a perfect match for one of the striped 4×6 SN@P cards from the collection. It only took a minute to color, and I love how the sentiment really pops off the card now, especially layered against a bit of black paper from the 6×6 Paper Pad.
A smaller 3×4 SN@P Card and papers from the 6×6 pad make up the base of the card. I wrapped the card with yellow twine and added a chipboard flower to the bow. Then to help frame the focal sentiment, I added a few small flowers from the Wood Veneers, this time colored with markers and given a coat of glossy accents. Love how the wood finish looks with all that shine.
Thanks so much for stopping by, my friends! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
Hi everyone, and happy Monday to you! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend and a blessed Easter with family and friends. Today is another special day in our house. It’s my little Missy’s birthday today. She is 17 years old. My goodness, how time does fly!
We’ve got plans to go out for a fancy dinner later, and maybe catch a movie or take in the sights at the mall. We’re just going to let our whim take us where it will. It’s going to be a great day! Perhaps even the best day ever! 🙂
So today seems a fitting day to share this fun card I made recently for the Simple Stories blog featuring the adorable Say Cheese II collection.
I absolutely adore this collection! Of course, who doesn’t love a paper line dedicated to the happiest place on earth, right? But for this project, I’ve swapped out Mickey for another fun trend in the paper crafting world these days… a coffee and tea theme. Aren’t those tiny cups cute? And I made my own itty bitty tea tag to go along. Does make me smile. Hope it does you, too!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Wishing you all the best day ever!
