My Creative Time 70th Edition Release Week- Build a Fall Wreath

Image may contain: text

It’s sneak peek week over at My Creative Time for their 70th Edition Release, and I am so excited to be joining in on the fun with a special guest designer project. Today is day three of peeks, and Emma is showcasing a new fall stamp and die set called Build a Fall Wreath.

As the name of this new set implies, Build a Fall Wreath is filled with oodles of small greenery stamps and matching dies that are perfect for layering and “building” up images such as wreaths and swags. But today I’ve used a handful of the different images to build my own patterned paper on this set of fall-inspired tags.

I love how the smaller size of these images are the perfect scale for smaller projects, like these gift tags that I made with the previously released Holiday Tags set. And by placing all of the images together onto one acrylic block, all the stamping for even a big batch of tags is a super quick and easy process.

I used watercolor cardstock for my background and banners and added a loose watercolor wash to the images using a variety of fall colored Distress inks. The sentiments and banner also come with the set, and the matching banner die, as well. Patterned paper is from Photo Play Paper.

My Creative Time 70th Edition Release Week- Spooky & Creepy Night

Image may contain: text

Hi everyone! It’s sneak peek week over at My Creative Time for their 70th edition release, and I am so excited to be joining in on the fun with a special guest designer project. Today is day two of peeks, and Emma is showcasing a new Halloween stamp and die set called Spooky & Creepy Night.

I am a huge fan of all things fall, and this sweet new set is at the top of my list of favorites for Halloween crafting this year! This adorable set includes the spiderweb, the pumpkin, and the ghost, and lots of silly faces that interchange between. And wait until you see all the great sentiments included, too.

I made a fun little scene for my card today, framed within Emma’s previously released Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More die set. And the patterned paper is from the Idea-ology Materialize paper stash.

My Creative Time 67th Edition Release Week- Stitched Favor Box

Hi everyone! It’s sneak peek week over at My Creative Time for their 67th Edition Release, and I am so excited to be joining in on the fun with a special guest designer project. Today is the last day of peeks, and Emma is showcasing a new gift-packaging die called the Stitched Favor Box.

This new die makes the cutest little favor box, and you will love how easy they are to put together. Perfect for making in bulk for parties, weddings, or any special occasion. I love the shape to these, and they are a good size for any number of small treats and gifts.

These favor boxes are absolutely adorable on their own, or can easily be dressed up to match any theme or event. I added a bit of ribbon through the top slit of the box, and accented with a hand-stamped tag. That sweet rose is from the Jr. Rolled Flower Dies, and the tag is from the Fun Stitched Tag Dies…. both previously released sets from Emma’s collection. The sentiment is from the new Sea You Soon stamp and die set, available tomorrow. The paper is from an older collection from Authentique called Harmony.

My Creative Time 67th Edition Release Week- Stitched Petals

Hi everyone! It’s sneak peek week over at My Creative Time for their 67th Edition Release, and I am so excited to be joining in on the fun with a special guest designer project. Today is day three of peeks, and Emma is showcasing two new sets, this month’s freebie die and a new set of basic shapes that you are going to love.

This shabby vintage-inspired card features the new Scalloped Stitched Square dies…. so useful for creating stacked layers like you see here…. and this month’s adorable freebie die, called Stitched Petals.

I used four of the new scalloped dies to create my focal panel here, and love the layered look that this gives. But what I love about them the most is that there are many more nesting dies that come with this set, from larger card base sizes down to the smallest shapes that I used here. I die cut the freebie Stitched Petals die onto the smallest stitched square shape, and pulled up on the petals for a bit of dimension. Embellished the center of the flower with a button and sticker for a little extra detail. The papers and stickers are from Photo Play Paper’s French Flea Market collection.

My Creative Time 67th Edition Release Week- Sea You Soon

Hi everyone! It’s sneak peek week over at My Creative Time for their 67th Edition Release, and I am so excited to be joining in on the fun with a special guest designer project. Today is day two of peeks, and Emma is showcasing a new stamp and die set called Sea You Soon.

This new set has some of the cutest little sea creatures you have ever seen, and a great variety of sweet and puny sentiments to go along. I made an ocean scene for my turtle and his fish friends, complete with embossed sea waves from the Sea You Soon set, water-colored with a variety of Distress inks. The images were stamped onto watercolor paper and colored with the inks, too, before being die cut with the matching dies and popped onto the card base with foam adhesive.

I stamped one of the sentiments from the set directly onto the panel, and then die cut with the previously released Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More set. The outer frame was die cut with the rectangle die set, as well. The papers are from Photo Play Paper’s Nautical Bliss line.

My Creative Time 67th Edition Release Week- The Adventure Begins

Hi everyone! Happy Monday! It’s sneak peek week over at My Creative Time for their 67th Edition Release, and I am excited to be joining in on the fun with a special guest designer project. Today is day one of peeks, and Emma is showcasing a new stamp and die set called The Adventure Begins.

This month is a very special release, for not only is June Emma’s birthday, this month also marks the 6th anniversary of My Creative Time. Today’s sneak peek set seems perfectly fitting for the occasion as it represents moving forward, taking a journey, and enjoying life’s precious moments….
Which I hope we all do for many years to come! Happy birthday Emma and My Creative Time!

For today’s card, I turned to a couple of my favorite previously released MCT die sets to create a little setting for this adorable scooter. Stitched Squares Inside & Out dies were used on both the frame and focal panel. Then I used Fun Stitched Clouds die cuts as masks for an ink blended cloudy sky background in soft green and blue. The present and scooter were stamped onto watercolor paper, colored with Zig Clean Color markers, and paper pieced with a bit of matching patterned paper.  I die cut the images with the coordinating dies, and popped them onto the frame using foam adhesive for a bit of dimension.

I stamped one of the set’s sentiments onto a banner strip for the front of the card, and added a second greeting to the inside along with another pair of sweet paper pieced packages. The patterned paper is from the adorable Fresh Picked collection by Photo Play Paper.

Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree & Sneak Peek

Happy Wednesday, Friends!

When I was off on my scrapbooking beach retreat in September, I started working on my Christmas cards for the year. I finished 16 cards at the retreat, all made with a favorite old holiday collection, BasicGrey’s 25th & Pine. I’ve been slowly sharing those cards over the past several weeks, and today I’m here with another, based on Reverse Confetti’s SFYTT #40.

Hello and Happy September, also know as Pumpkin Spice and Pumpkin Everything season! Around here it's SO MUCH NEW AWESOME STUFF season!  If you opened your newsletter last week, you know that there are FOUR new PRODUCT LINES being introduced in September.  Not just 4 new stamps or dies (we'll have those and they:

audreypettit-bg-rockinaroundcard
I love playing along with sketch challenges, but don’t always get the chance to keep up to date. I thought it would be fun to bring some past sketches with me to the beach, and work my way through a bunch of old favorites. Really helps with the creativity when I get busy gabbing and blabbing.

audreypettit-bg-rockinaroundcard2
This sketch had the perfect focal panel for the large die cut tree I wanted to use, layered of course on one of those scalloped-edge Snippets pages I’ve been obsessed with. I added a gold star sticker to the top of the tree, and wrapped the panel with candy-stripe twine. The sentiment is a transparency strip, backed with a bit of white cardstock to allow the sentiment to shine.

audreypettit-bg-rockinaroundcard3
More papers from the 6×6 paper pad. And a few enamel dots to finish.

Anybody ready for another holiday sneak peek? Just two more days until my AudOnes Prims Holiday Shop opens!

audonesprims-holidayshop2016-sneak-peek4
Be sure to check out my AudOnes Prims Facebook page for even more fun peeks! And I hope to see you all on Friday at 10:00 a.m. EST for the grand opening!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs, America!

2016 Holiday Inspiration Series with Tim Holtz

Happy Monday, Friends!

Did you all see the fun news? Tim Holtz has just launched a month-long Holiday Inspiration Series on his blog, and I am so honored and excited to have the first project up! Throughout this special series, we hope to share lots of amazing new products from Tim’s new 2016 Holiday Release, and project ideas to jump start a whole season of holiday crafting and creativity.

audreypettit-timholtz-dec25thgiftset

For my project I have made a card and matching tag set featuring lots of fabulous goodies from Tim’s new holiday collection. I’ve used some new Tim Holtz Alterations dies and embossing folders, along with new holiday papers, glittery deco sheets, and Idea-ology ephemera bits to create an elegant and traditional holiday look with a bit of a vintage feel.

audreypettit-timholtz-dec25thgiftset2
I just love this new Enchanted Doves Alterations die. And since this is a Bigz die, that means you can die cut any number of surfaces, including the fuzzy fleece I used here. I really love how the soft fabric of the bird adds a whole new layer of texture and detail to the design. Makes you want to reach out and touch it.

audreypettit-timholtz-dec25thgiftset3
Isn’t the new Holiday Deco Paper beautiful? Adds an instant sense of glamor and sparkle that is always so welcome at the holidays.

audreypettit-timholtz-dec25thgiftset4
I really love the vintage nostalgic feel to this set, and the bits of holiday shine mixed with lots of natural rustic touches. But my favorite part is the little surprise element to this otherwise traditional design. The card is a spinner. Open it up, and the dove twirls around. A fun touch for whoever opens it. And looks kinda cool as a decor piece, too.

I hope you enjoyed this peek at the new Tim Holtz 2016 Holiday Collection! I’ve got the full step-by-step instructions for today’s project over on Tim’s blog, if you’d like to learn more. And be sure to stop back there often this month as the Holiday Inspiration Series continues.

A 25th & Pine Happy Holidays

Happy Friday, Crafty Friends!

When I was off on my scrapbooking beach retreat in September, I started working on my Christmas cards for the year. I finished 16 cards at the retreat, all made with a favorite old holiday collection, BasicGrey’s 25th & Pine. I’ve been slowly sharing those cards over the past several weeks, and today, I’m here with another.

audreypettit-bg-happyholidayscard
When I left for the retreat, never did I think that I would end up focusing on just one collection, but that’s exactly what I did. Once I got started, I realized just how many leftovers I still had, and then it hit me all over again…. paper collections used to really come with a whole lotta loot.

audreypettit-bg-happyholidayscard2
So this card is once again my attempt to use up as much of that loot as I could. I used three different 6×6 patterned papers to piece the background, and then added in a couple of scrap strips cut into banner flags.

audreypettit-bg-happyholidayscard3
For the main panel, I used some pieces that I noticed I used to tend to shy away from…. the transparency die cuts. Love how they look, but you do have to be a bit strategic with the adhesive. For this card, I disguised my tape on the large transparency frame with the sentiment sticker. And a small glue dot just behind the berries to attach the holly leaves hardly shows. I’ve been loving the scalloped edges on the Snippets booklet pages, so I added a bit of that to the bottom of the frame. Tied the whole with twine, and popped it onto the card with a bit of foam adhesive.

One more card knocked off the holiday list! Can’t believe I’m this far ahead of the game. How about you all? Started on your holiday projects yet?

And speaking of holidays, it’s just about time to open my new shop!

audonesprims-holidayshop2016-sneak-peeks
Sneak peeks start on Monday! Can’t wait to share!

Happy weekend, everyone!
