Spring Shop Update at AudOnes Prims

Happy Monday, friends! I’ve been working away behind the scenes on some new spring shop goodies, and they are finished, and listed, and I’m so excited today to share them with you!

If you follow me on Facebook or Instagram, you may have already seen a peek at these. And some of you may remember a similar version of this sweet Old Mother Goose from previous years. She was truly one of my most favorite prims, and when I came across this vintage-looking floral fabric, I couldn’t resist making her again.

One thing I did differently with Mother Goose this time is to craft up a floppy burlap nest to go along. The old gal fits perfectly in a basket or bowl, but is a bit wobbly on her feet all on her own. The new nest helps keep her on her toes.

Another pair you might recognize are these adorable folk-art rabbit dolls, Lili and Lala Lapin. I had crafted these for my shop years ago, but I recently uncovered another set that were still in pieces. So I stitched them up, and added a few new embellishments, and think they are just the cutest things.

Lastly, I have some polka dotty egg bowl fillers, done up in a rainbow of bright colors.

These over-sized eggs just make me smile. I am such a sucker for polka dots!

All these items have been listed in my AudOnes Prims Shop, if you are interested. You can click on the link on my sidebar or menu at any time, or simply click HERE. If there’s a certain color of egg you’d like, just leave me a comment below.

Thanks so much, friends! I hope you enjoy!

February Home Tour- The Entryway

Happy Tuesday, friends! I’ve been inspired by my recent heart-making frenzy of the past couple of weeks to do a bit of Valentine decorating, and today I thought I would share my new entryway update with you.

I don’t normally decorate for Valentine’s Day. The holiday just comes and goes so quickly, and I usually like to keep out my winter snowmen until March. But this year, because I’ve been making so many hearts, Valentines are on my mind.

Since I am more of a snowman type of gal, I don’t have many Valentine decorations, but this did give me the perfect excuse to display some of my handmade rag dollies. I don’t keep many of my creations, but these right here have always been my favorites.

I have just finished one last set of prim hearts for the season, and thought they would look sweet piled into this old apple basket. Once again, these are made from some of my favorite Tim Holtz Eclectic Elements fabrics that I’ve been hoarding in my stash. If you saw the patchwork heart I made recently, then you may recognize the small “patches” made from those scraps that I added to these hearts, along with a snippet of lace and vintage pearl button. And in honor of my recent return to cross-stitching, I added hand-stitched X’s all around the outline of these shabby sweet bowl fillers. These cuties have been added to my AudOnes Prims Shop, if you’d like to take any of them home.

Speaking of cross-stitch, this is a “save the stitches” framed cross stitch piece that I found at my favorite local charity shop. I don’t know how old the stitching is, but I’m guessing quite, from the discoloration of the linen…. and that dated framing screams 80’s to me. It is probably a section of some larger piece that someone saved behind glass. Sure wish I knew the history.

Underneath the table, is my usual mish-mash of decor items bundled into a favorite handmade basket.

It’s been quite fun, trying something new.

If February goes anywhere near as quickly as January did, then Valentine’s Day will be here before we know it. But as I had hoped to do, I did get my dining room sideboard decorated yesterday, and it feels so bright and cheerful compared to the darker tones of last month. I’ll take some pictures, and share with you all soon.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Valentines at AudOnes Prims

Happy Tuesday, crafty friends! Hope your frosty winter week is getting off to a great start. Can you believe that we are halfway through January, already? It’s time for Valentines, and I’m so happy to share some with you today.

I’ve had so much fun this week crafting up these sweet bowl filler hearts. These are made from some of my favorite quilting fabrics from the Eclectic Elements collection by Tim Holtz. I used four different fabrics from the Wallflower line to piece each of the tops, and I’m so happy with the quilted look that they have. Hand-dyed lace trim was added between two of the sections, and I finished each heart with a tufted vintage mother-of-pearl button.

This is a great project for using up some of those smaller fabric scraps that you might have laying around, and I love how they look piled up in a basket or bowl. Just a fun way to add some cheer at any time of year.

These pieced heart bowl fillers are now available in my AudOnes Prims Shop! (click HERE)!

AudOnes Prims Fall 2018 Shop Update

Happy Monday, crafty friends, and happy October to you!  My most favorite month of the year! Time for fall leaves and hay rides and spooks of all kinds. And today, I am so very excited to be able to say, it’s time for the opening of my AudOnes Prims Fall 2018 Shop, too. A bit later than I would have liked. But better late than never!

This year’s shop update is definitely small. More of what I would call a “mini collection”. And you may notice a bit of a theme this fall….

A polka dotty spotty theme in both black and orange, with pumpkins both big and small. Because what’s fall without pumpkin everything, right?

Unfortunately, quantities are quite limited, so if you see anything you like, you might want to pop right over to the shop and check it out.

Fabric Friday- A Fairy House Pillow Tuck

I know many of my paper peeps out there can relate when I say that I have a pretty big stash of paper scraps that I have a hard time throwing away. And just like my mountain of paper scraps, I tend to collect, and keep, and hoard my fabric scraps, too. Because you just never know when that tiny sliver of fabric may come in handy!

You may remember this orange ticking print that I used recently on those shabby fabric carrots in my spring shop. After cutting all of those, I was left with quite a few scraps… too small for anything new, but too pretty to end up in the bin. So I challenged myself to find something to do with them…. and the other ten gazillion scraps I have lying around. And I came up with these. Sweet little fairy house pillow tucks.

I very much enjoy adding stitching to my projects, so I created a small fairy scene from a variety of bright and happy fabric prints, and embellished it with hand-embroidered details. The raw-edged applique gives that lovely frayed shabby look I love so well.

Of course, I barely made a dent in my mountain of fabric scraps, but I was pleased with some of the teensy details I was able to squeeze out of the tiniest of pieces. My clunky fingers could barely hold onto the center of those flowers, but I did it. So I’m calling that a win… even if I still have a ton of scraps to go!

I’ve added both of these pillow tucks to my shop page, and you can find them here if you’d like to take them home. Thanks so much for stopping by! Wishing you all a super fabulous weekend!
