I really wish I could put myself in time out this morning! What a crazy, crazy weekend we had! Pete had two consecutive sleep-overs, and Nik had one. Nik went to a birthday party, and Peter finally got his long overdue party. Then there were several play dates in between, as well. Plus, we had some friends come over yesterday afternoon to give Nik a long awaited art lesson. Felt like I was on over-drive the entire time. And did I think to take any photos during all this activity? Nope….not a single one. And I call myself a scrapbooker!
Really wish I would have gotten some of Peter and his friends. Especially when we all packed into the van to head to the movies. 5 thirteen year old boys can look a bit frightening from the outside. All of them had long hair, bangs into the eyes, baggy clothing, etc, etc. One was so bad I thought for sure he couldn’t even see where he was going. They spent the whole time singing various skits from YouTube. I was snickering, especially when they started dividing up the parts, fighting over who got to do which bit. They look like a bunch of drowned rats. Sorry boys! fun stuff, though.
Now that it’s over, I’m enjoying the peace. I have tons of things to clean up and put back in order, and I still haven’t finished my cards or my shopping. Yikes! I really need to get off the computer!
But before I do, I have one more super simple page to share using the December kit from Paper-Playground.
It’s a bit hard to tell from the scan, but I machine stitched a double row of lines around the entire perimeter of the page and then painted the space between the stitches. I also painted the holly leaves on the Kaiser wooden flourish, and broke the piece into two to use on separate spots on the page. I let the die-cut photo mat be the star of the page and just added a few pieces of patterned paper, some of the flocked MM brads, touches of ribbon, and that gorgeous bling title. I added a few MM mini alpha stickers from my stash to finish off the title work. I just love this sweet and happy photo of Nik from several Christmases ago. She loves everything about Christmas still, and even though she’s been told by plenty of friends and classmates that Santa does not really exist, she still chooses to believe to this day. I hope she never looses that magic and joy that she feels now.
Today is December 15th, and that means that the Paper-Playground kits are packed and waiting for the mailman at my doorstep as we speak. Just one more task that I managed to accomplish this weekend. I do love seeing the kits lined up and ready to go. There are still a few left, if anyone is interested! I also want to let you all in on a very secret sale for all my bloggy friends. All of our previous kits are on sale for 25% off now through the end of the year. The sale includes any kit, except for the current December kit. We have tons to choose from. They would make a wonderful gift for yourself or anyone on your scrappy list. You can check out the previous kits by following the link from either the home page, or the join the club page. Just leave me a comment if you are interested! I can do that, cause I’m the co-owner, right? 😉
Have a great day everyone!
