Panda Party with Photo Play Paper

Hi Friends, and happy Monday once again! Can you all believe we are starting the last week of September already?  Just a few more days until I can “officially” start sharing my Halloween spooks with you!

But before the Halloween haunts begin, I have a very sweet little guy to share with you today. This is the adorable Party Panda collection from Photo Play Paper. And if you are on their mailing list, you will have received the instructions for this card, along with two other party cards, in your email last week.

The new Photo Play Paper Cake series includes three birthday themed collections, perfect for all the boys and girls on your birthday list. I am a sucker for cute little critters, and these lines have lots of them, in bright and happy papers, stickers, and now stamps and dies, too.

Best thing is, Photo Play and Scrapbook Expo are offering an amazing prize giveaway of all three CAKE collections. All you need to do is leave a comment on the Scrapbook Expo blog (HERE) by Thursday, September 28th, for a chance to win this fabulous prize.

My Creative Time Frightful Greetings Kit Blog Hop & Flash Sale

Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping by, and welcome to the My Creative Time “Frightful Greetings” Kit reveal Blog Hop and Flash Sale! You should have arrived from Ruthie’s blog, but if you’ve gotten lost anywhere along the way, you can start back at the My Creative Time blog.

Today is a very exciting day, because for the first time ever My Creative Time is offering a brand new KIT which consists of the frightfully fun stamp set, coordinating die, and fabulous stencil design that you see here. This exclusive kit is available now, while supplies last, at My Creative Time.

We are all about the Halloween treats here at my house, so for my kit project, I have made a little goody bag for my college kiddos, filled with their favorite candy. Such a fun way to surprise them both with a little treat from mom, and so quick and easy to put together using the kit supplies.

Isn’t that stencil pattern absolutely amazing? I used it to decorate the outside of the candy bag, and then added a bit of extra embellishment with one of the small sentiments included in the stamp set. For the insert that fits inside the bag, I created a simple layered watercolor panel with stamped sentiment at the bottom. The skeleton was stamped and water colored, and then die cut with the coordinating kit die before being sandwiched between the layers of papers on the card insert. Love how the skeleton peeks from the top edge! And he makes a perfect pull tab for the card insert, too.

I added a quick sentiment banner band to the top of the bag, tied with twine and decorated with sequins. Then all you need are a few of your favorite sweets. ❤

I am the last stop along the hop, so thank you for joining us!

And here’s more information for you about today’s blog hop and sale.

My Creative Time 70th Edition Release Week- Build a Fall Wreath

Image may contain: text

It’s sneak peek week over at My Creative Time for their 70th Edition Release, and I am so excited to be joining in on the fun with a special guest designer project. Today is day three of peeks, and Emma is showcasing a new fall stamp and die set called Build a Fall Wreath.

As the name of this new set implies, Build a Fall Wreath is filled with oodles of small greenery stamps and matching dies that are perfect for layering and “building” up images such as wreaths and swags. But today I’ve used a handful of the different images to build my own patterned paper on this set of fall-inspired tags.

I love how the smaller size of these images are the perfect scale for smaller projects, like these gift tags that I made with the previously released Holiday Tags set. And by placing all of the images together onto one acrylic block, all the stamping for even a big batch of tags is a super quick and easy process.

I used watercolor cardstock for my background and banners and added a loose watercolor wash to the images using a variety of fall colored Distress inks. The sentiments and banner also come with the set, and the matching banner die, as well. Patterned paper is from Photo Play Paper.

My Creative Time 70th Edition Release Week- Spooky & Creepy Night

Image may contain: text

Hi everyone! It’s sneak peek week over at My Creative Time for their 70th edition release, and I am so excited to be joining in on the fun with a special guest designer project. Today is day two of peeks, and Emma is showcasing a new Halloween stamp and die set called Spooky & Creepy Night.

I am a huge fan of all things fall, and this sweet new set is at the top of my list of favorites for Halloween crafting this year! This adorable set includes the spiderweb, the pumpkin, and the ghost, and lots of silly faces that interchange between. And wait until you see all the great sentiments included, too.

I made a fun little scene for my card today, framed within Emma’s previously released Stitched Rectangular Frame Dies & More die set. And the patterned paper is from the Idea-ology Materialize paper stash.

My Creative Time 70th Edition Release Week- Scallop Stitched Rosette

Image may contain: text

Hi everyone! It’s sneak peek week over at My Creative Time for their 70th Edition Release, and I am so excited to be joining in on the fun with a special guest designer project. Today is the first day of peeks, and Emma is showcasing a new die called the Large Scallop Stitched Rosette.

This new die is a larger version of Emma’s previously released rosette dies, and if you have that earlier set, you can now create three different sizes of the most adorable rosettes. Now how fun is that?

Once assembled, these new rosettes measure about 3.25″ wide, and are perfect for adding to all sorts of paper crafting and home decor projects, and even gift packing, too.

I added my rosettes to some gift tags made from the Stitched Squares Inside & Out die set, and topped them with accents die cut from the Bunch of Fun Circles die set. Little banner strips were stamped with Halloween sentiments from both the Prehistoric Holidays and Too Cute to Spook sets from previous releases.

Pop Into Fun with Photo Play Paper

Hi Friends! Happy Friday!
Waving a very happy hello to all of you from the heart of North Carolina!
We are finally back home from our fabulous three week vacation in California.

Even though our vacation is over, summer is still in full swing these days. We experienced some record-breaking heat out in California, and it’s sure none cooler back here in North Carolina. Nothing but blue skies and soaring temperatures for days to come. Perfect time to share a little summer fun card that I made for Photo Play Paper using their adorable Summer Bucket List line.

Snacks are always good year round, but there’s something about popcorn that really does make me think of summer. Perhaps it’s the bright sunny colors and circus-tent stripes that put me in mind. As you can see, I went heavy on the layers here. The popcorn accents are a mix of stickers and a cut-apart journaling card for the main panel. I coated the top kernels with glossy accents and placed them onto the card with foam adhesive for a bit of 3D popping action.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Hope you all are having a wonderful summer so far! Any big vacation plans in the works?
