Hello Friends! Happy, happy Friday! I’ve got some Simple Stories for you today. A quick and easy card made with the Lovely SN@P! Pack.
Simple Stories’ SN@P! Packs are seriously a ton of fun. Each kit collection contains well over a hundred pieces of pre-cut journaling cards and die cut ephemera Absolutely perfect for pocket scrapbooking, of course, but also great for so much more.
Included in the Lovely SN@P! Pack are these adorable little 2″x2″ journaling cards you see here. So fabulous for creating quick and easy blocked designs, and small enough to work perfectly on cards.
One of the best things about SN@P! cards are the pre-printed images and titles that are great for journaling, but also make fabulous instant card sentiments, too. Love that these cards are all double-sided, for even more creative possibilities. I added a few Lovely die cuts, a bit of twine, and enamel dots, and this super easy, but super cute, card is complete.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Hello, hello my friends, and happy Monday! It’s a super busy day, kicking off a super crazy week here at our house. So I am going to keep things short and sweet today, and quickly share a card I made recently for the Simple Stories blog featuring the adorable I Am collection.
This card is a mini card at 3.5″x5″, and is a more clean and simple design, yet still packs a lot of charm with all those happy polka dots. I love mixing different scales of prints, like I did here with the smaller sized dots for the main panel and the larger dot border at the bottom. It’s a really easy and effective way to add interest to a design with very little effort.
Thanks so much for stopping by! My parents arrive this afternoon, and graduation rehearsal is tomorrow. It is happening, my friends!
Today is the day, my friends. The last day of school, and the last time… the very last time I will ever pack a lunchbox and send a wee one off to the bus stop in the morning. It’s a day for celebration, of course, but I will admit that this old momma is pretty emotional. That fifteen years could fly by in the blink of an eye, and leave me now standing on the other side looking back, is a bit of a shock, a whirlwind of memories and moments, a mix of happiness and sadness…. all jumbled up together.
But for my wee Missy Nik, today is simply a day for rejoicing. A happy day. So today I thought I would share a bright and happy card with you that I made recently for the Simple Stories blog, featuring the adorable I Am collection and lots and lots of sweet polka dots.
To me, there is nothing quite as happy and fun as a bunch of polka dots, and I have combined a ton of them here. There’s dots on the background paper, and dots from a mix of SN@P journaling cards, and even dots on the washi tape, too. Does make me smile. I think it livens things up, don’t you?
Thank you so much for stopping by! This card goes out to all of you. I’m sending smiles across the miles to all of YOU, my friends. Wishing you all a wonderful day!

Hi everyone, and happy Friday! Yay for the weekend, right? I know I am always grateful when the weekend rolls around. So I thought today would be the perfect day to share this fun thank you card I made recently for the Simple Stories blog, featuring the adorable I Am collection.
I absolutely adore the script font of this beautiful wood veneer sentiment, and wanted to make it the focal point of my card. Love the large size and how it takes center stage in this simple card design. I decided to alter the wood veneer a bit, to make it stand out even more.
The Wood Veneers are beautiful in their natural state, but are also super easy to alter and embellish to create your own unique embellishments. The “grateful” sentiment piece used here was colored with a Worn Lipstick Distress Marker, which was a perfect match for one of the striped 4×6 SN@P cards from the collection. It only took a minute to color, and I love how the sentiment really pops off the card now, especially layered against a bit of black paper from the 6×6 Paper Pad.
A smaller 3×4 SN@P Card and papers from the 6×6 pad make up the base of the card. I wrapped the card with yellow twine and added a chipboard flower to the bow. Then to help frame the focal sentiment, I added a few small flowers from the Wood Veneers, this time colored with markers and given a coat of glossy accents. Love how the wood finish looks with all that shine.
Thanks so much for stopping by, my friends! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
It’s a happy day in my house today. My boy is coming home for the weekend, and I am anxious to get into the kitchen. I like to make up for the lousy dorm cafeteria food when he is here, so I’ve got big plans, and a busy day ahead for me. But it’s all part of the big plan, if you know what I mean….
I keep hoping that if I bribe him with enough food, he’ll be willing to come home more often.
So I’ve got big dinner plans in the works for today. I’m even going to attempt to tackle a pie……
…… cause I’m thinking a pie will really do the trick…
Sharing a card with you that I made recently for the Simple Stories blog and CHA booth, featuring their beautiful new I AM collection. Because today I truly AM so thankful!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy weekend, everyone!
Yesterday I had the happy pleasure of seeing my first design team projects go up on the Simple Stories blog…. a couple of cards I made for CHA2015 using the adorable new I AM collection. So excited to now share the first of them here with all of you!
CHA may officially be over for the year, but if you were watching along via Facebook or Instagram these last few days, you may have noticed a lot of photos being posted of the Simple Stories booth with the I AM marketing slogan. The response has been tremendous, and I couldn’t be happier! It truly is a beautiful line, with a beautiful message. If you haven’t had a chance to see the campaign or the I AM collection yet, you can find the full reveal here.
Gold has been such an on-trend color this past year, and I am so excited to see that trend continue. For my first card, I combined the shiny elegance of gold accents with the softer look of pastel papers and fabric for an eye catching combo that’s full of visual texture.
As a card-maker, I am always smitten with the smaller prints of the 6×6 paper pads, which I used to create my background here. A 3×4 SN@P Card makes a perfect frame for the focal point and sentiment… Chipboard, Bits & Pieces die cuts, and a yummy gold glittered Enamel Dot, all tied up with some pretty metallic trim.
Looking ahead to Friday….
Have you guys seen? Emma, over at My Creative Time, is celebrating her 4-year anniversary this week with a fabulous new stamp and die release and lots of project inspiration and giveaways, including a grand prize you won’t want to miss. I am super excited to be joining in the celebration on Friday, as guest designer for the 39th edition Blog Hop. Hope to see you all then… but in the mean time, you can check out all the fun on the My Creative Time blog.
