An Extra Mice Fall with Newton’s Nook

Happy Monday, sweet friends! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! It has turned very cold here these past few days, and it’s starting to feel like winter is coming early. Waking up to frost on the ground every morning and temperatures down into the 20’s. Having to bundle into winter coats and mittens and hats to go out in the evening. Brrrr, I’m so not ready for that. Think I’m going to cling on to autumn just as long as I can. Including here with my card share for today.

This is once again the adorable Autumn Mice stamp set from Newton’s Nook that I shared in my last post. But instead of tags, today I have a card made with the beautiful fall collection from Photo Play Paper, Mad4Plaid Fall.

Papers are from the 6×6 paper pad. The images were colored with Copic markers and die cut with the coordinating dies. I used a Sizzix Stacked Postage die to add some decorative edging to the background panel. And then a few pop dots for dimension on this super sweet and super simple design.

I hope your fall is extra mice this year! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Life Moments with Ranger Ink

Hello, crafty friends, and happy Wednesday to you all! Hope your week is going well and that your fall (or spring, depending upon where you are) is off to a great start. I’m always super excited at this time of year, because of course autumn is my favorite season. I love it when the air turns cooler and the leaves start to change color, and pumpkins and apples start popping up everywhere. So I’m extra happy to be sharing a new fall project with you all today that I made for the Ranger Ink blog.

This card is a fun mix of some newer products, like Ranger Distress Archival Inks and the awesome Crackle texture folder from Tim Holtz and Sizzix, combined with lots of pretty Distress Ink colors and favorite stamps. I went with a warm autumnal color palette of golden yellows and rich deep orange and rust on this fall-inspired design, and used my Distress inks to do some easy watercolor washes and splatters. Quick techniques that give a unique appearance every time.

The texture on that 3D Crackle embossing folder is just amazing. The embossing looks great on either side, too. I pulled out my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher to adhere the layers of background papers, and sandwiched a nest of loose threads in between. A simple stamped sentiment finishes the design.

I’ve got the full step-by-step tutorial up on the Ranger Ink Projects Page, if you’d like to learn more.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Wishing you an awesome weekend ahead!

Therm O Web & GinaK Designs Fall 2019 Release

Hello everyone, and welcome to the Therm O Web & GinaK Designs Mix N’ Mingle Fall 2019 Release bloghop! Today we are super excited to reveal two brand new fall and holiday themed stamp, stencil, and die sets from the popular Stampn’Stencil collection with a hop filled with tons of project ideas, inspiration, and of course prizes. So let’s get started!

If you’re not familiar with the Stampn’Stencil product line, then you are in for a treat. These sets contain high-quality clear acrylic stamps, the matching dies, and stencils that coordinate with the stamps, too. Mix and match them all together, use the stencils all on their own, or the stamps on their own. There are just so many design possibilities.

My tag set today uses the beautiful new Autumn Wishes Stampn’Stencil set. I stamped both tree trunks that come in the set in rich brown inks, and then added the coordinating leaf images in bright fall colors. I repeated the same colors on the individual leaves, and die cut all the pieces with the matching dies. The sentiment is just one of the greetings from the set.

The beautiful flourish background pattern was made with the Autumn Wishes stencil that’s included in the set. I added a bit of patterned paper from Simple Stories, and finished off the tags with some pretty layered trims.

Be sure to enter the Rafflecopter giveaway for your chance to win a $50 gift card to the Therm O Web shop (to enter, click on the giveaway graphic right below or click on the highlighted text above). There is a second $50 prize giveaway from the GinaK Designs shop as well, so be sure to leave comments all along the hop. Entries are open until 11:59 PM CST on Monday, September 9th, and winners will be announced by the 11th at 10:00 am CST.

The next stop along the hop is Emily Loggans. If you’re just joining me now, or have gotten lost along the way, you can find the full hop list and complete details on the Therm O Web and GinaK Designs blogs. Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the hop!

Fall Greetings with Ranger Ink

Happy Monday, friends! Today I have the great pleasure of guesting on the Ranger Ink blog with the tutorial for this fall-inspired Distress card, and I wanted to share it here with all of you, too. To me, fall is all about woolly sweaters and blankets, and the rich colors of falling leaves, so I tried to capture that feel here with lots of layers of textures and deep autumnal colors using some of my favorite products from Tim Holtz and Ranger.

Growing up on the west coast, I didn’t get to really experience the changing of seasons. But here on the other side of the country is a different story, and one of my top highlights of the fall is seeing the changing of the leaves. It’s amazing how many colors can appear, even on one single individual leaf. And I tried to reproduce that look here on my leaf today. I absolutely adore this big Layered Leaf die from Tim Holtz/Sizzix, that comes with a matching embossing folder that creates those realistic impressions and dips in the leaf venation. I die cut the leaf from heavyweight Mixed Media paper so that I could put it through it’s paces with Distress inks, Distress crayons, sanding, and even Ranger Perfect Pearls and embossing powder, too.

To bring in even more texture, I added Idea-ology Textured Surfaces in burlap, corrugate, and cork, with a bumpy background made with the Rosettes Texture Fade embossing folder. The sentiment is a combo of Alphanumeric die cut lettering and a Chit Chat sticker. A bit of kraft paper and flecks of shimmery gold finish my fall design.

As always, you can find the complete step-by-step tutorial for this project over on the Ranger Ink blog, if you’d like to learn more. And thanks so much for stopping by!

HAPPY FALL!

Fall Therm O Web & GinaK Designs Stampn’Foil Release Blog Hop

Hi crafty friends, and welcome to the GinaK Designs Fall Stampn’Foil blog hop! Today we are so excited to reveal two beautiful new fall-inspired Stampn’Foil collections, along with two new sets of background Foil-Mates designs, too. We’ve got tons of inspiration to share, and lots of prizes to give away along the hop…
So let’s get started!
You should have arrived here from the Therm O Web blog, but if you are just joining me, you can start at the beginning HERE.

For my project, I created a fall-inspired friendship card featuring a mix of GinaK Designs products from today’s release. One thing I really love about the Stampn’Foil system is that there are stamps and dies and coordinating toner sheets that allow you to use the stamps with and without foil accents. All of the beautiful foliage on this card is from the new Thankful Leaves Stampn’Foil set. As you can see, I die cut and foiled some leaves to stand out as the focal point of my design. And I also used the stamps on their own to add additional foliage to the bottom of the card. Any way you use them, the images look amazing!

Look at the cool layers of color on those die cut leaves, and check out the fabulous foiled shine. The Thankful Leaves Stampn’Foil stamps are a three-step system, allowing you to stamp the solid background image of the leaf and the outline and the venation in different colors. Or use a combo of the stamps along with the coordinating toner sheets to add foil to the design. I pulled out three of my favorite GinaK Designs fall Fancy Foils colors to foil my leaves today… Sweet Mango, Gold Sequins, and Wild Dandelion. Mixed with GinaK Designs ink colors and cardstock in muted autumnal tones, this combo makes for a perfect fall feel.

The sentiment image is also from the new Thankful Leaves set. And I used a second sentiment stamp to create a text-print cardstock strip for the top of the card. The foiled basket-weave strip is from one of two new background Foil-Mates sets from the fall release. This is the Harvest Texture set, and it’s been foiled with Sweet Mango Fancy Foil to coordinate with the rest of the card. The GinaK ink and cardstock colors are Kraft, Moonlit Fog, Tomato Soup, and our Pure Luxury White from the Therm O Web line.

I created a stenciled panel for the top of the card, adhered at an angle and belted with layered cardstock strips. The die cut leaves are nested onto a pair of circles die cut with GinaK’s Stitched Circle die set and the brand new Graphic Sunflowers Stampn’Foil Craft Dies. That pinked circle shape is already a new favorite of mine.

If you are just joining me, be sure to go back and start at the Therm O Web blog for all the information and details on today’s hop. And don’t forget to enter our prize giveaway while you are there for your chance to win the entire collection, a prize value of over $150. Keep hopping along with us for a chance to win additional prizes, too! And check out our Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube pages for even more chances to win!

A Little Dose of Happy with Tammy Tutterow & Spellbinders

Hi Sweet Friends, and happy Monday once again!
Hope you all have had a super wonderful week! Any big plans in the works for this tail end of summer?

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like autumn is almost here? I know the official date is still weeks away, but once school starts and Labor Day approaches, I feel like we’ve turned the corner on our seasons. And I, for one, am really looking forward to fall.

Labor Day weekend is my boy’s birthday. He will be 22 this year…. which is so hard to believe. I’m looking forward to having him home for the long weekend, and possibly my wee Missy Nik, too. I’ve got plans for baking some of Pete’s favorite treats and wrapping a few pressies. Sweet homey things that make this old mom’s heart burst with happy.
So it seemed rather fitting to share this “little dose of happy” card here with you today.

This card is made with some of the most adorable cling stamps from my dear friend Tammy Tutterow’s collection with Spellbinders. This is the pretty Sunflower Bunch stamp, along with a sentiment from the Tiny Sentiments set. The images were die cut with Tim Holtz Stitched Circles. And a bit of paper busting from my stash.

Thank you all so much for stopping by! Hope you all have a fabulous week ahead. And in case you’re interested, a little news on my AudOnes Prims shop….

I will be unveiling my fall collection this weekend.
Grand Opening is this Sunday,
September 3rd @ 1:00 p.m. EST

My Creative Time 70th Edition Release Week- Build a Fall Wreath

Image may contain: text

It’s sneak peek week over at My Creative Time for their 70th Edition Release, and I am so excited to be joining in on the fun with a special guest designer project. Today is day three of peeks, and Emma is showcasing a new fall stamp and die set called Build a Fall Wreath.

As the name of this new set implies, Build a Fall Wreath is filled with oodles of small greenery stamps and matching dies that are perfect for layering and “building” up images such as wreaths and swags. But today I’ve used a handful of the different images to build my own patterned paper on this set of fall-inspired tags.

I love how the smaller size of these images are the perfect scale for smaller projects, like these gift tags that I made with the previously released Holiday Tags set. And by placing all of the images together onto one acrylic block, all the stamping for even a big batch of tags is a super quick and easy process.

I used watercolor cardstock for my background and banners and added a loose watercolor wash to the images using a variety of fall colored Distress inks. The sentiments and banner also come with the set, and the matching banner die, as well. Patterned paper is from Photo Play Paper.

***Sneak Peek giveaway!***

Emma is giving away a free set of today’s new products to one lucky commenter, so don’t forget to leave a comment here, then pop over to the My Creative Time blog to see what the rest of the team has for you. Emma will announce today’s winner on the MCT blog tomorrow. Remember, as always, the more comments you leave, the more chances you have to win. VERY IMPORTANT, PLEASE leave a way for us to contact you w/your comment just in case “YOU” are the lucky winner! For EXTRA entries, you can spread the word about this release on Facebook, tweet about it OR even instagram it! #mycreativetime! Good luck everyone! And thanks so much for stopping by!

A Foxy Fall Birthday

Happy Friday, Friends!

The girls and I are getting together tomorrow to celebrate my friend, Norma’s, birthday. So this week, I sat down to work on a birthday set for her.

audreypettit-happyfallbirthdayset
I really love pretty gift packaging. And you all know me by now… brown paper packages are one of my most favorite things. But Norma’s plain old gift bag was in serious need of some dressing up. And since she has an autumn birthday, this was a perfect excuse to pull out a few of my favorite  fall collections and put together a little woodland harvest gift set.

audreypettit-happyfallbirthdayset2
Do you all recognize these papers? Super oldies from WeRMemoryKeepers and Imaginisce that must be five years old now, but they still make me smile. Love those little woodland critters. One of the best things about hand-delivering birthday treats is that you don’t have to worry about the bulk. So I had fun with the layers and dimension here, and pulled out some of my favorite old tricks that I haven’t used for awhile. Girly scallops and machine stitching. And the old timey sweetness of a vintage doily.

From the Shop- Halloween Hoot Owl

Happy Wednesday, Crafty Friends!

I have another sweet and silly Halloween prim to share with you. The latest addition, just added today, to my AudOnes Prims Fall Shop.

audonesprims-hootowl
The girls and I made these little Hoot owls a couple of years ago during one of our weekly crafty play days. At the time, I was just getting started making prims, and I can still remember how nervous and excited I was, and a bit intimidated by the whole process. Little did I know that two years later, I would have my own wee shop filled with them. This guy is sort of the beginning of it all. And because of that, he’s pretty special to me.

audonesprims-hootowl2
A very sweet friend of mine has been asking if I would make more. So this fall I promised that I would. What a “hoot” it’s been, revisiting one of the first prims I ever tackled. And I’m so happy to share him with YOU!

And speaking of happy….

audones-primjackgroup
I couldn’t resist taking a group shot of all these silly little faces. Do you remember these guys from my shop last year? Well I had another request to make more…. 20 more… in the largest custom order I’ve had to date. Now that is one big pile of pumpkins!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Wishing you all a wonderful day.

If you’d like to venture into the world of prims, you can find the Hoot Owl pattern on the adorable Chestnut Junction site on Etsy.
Or you can find them ready to go in my Fall Shop, too.
