Feeling Corny with Therm O Web & AudOnes Prims

Hello, friends! Happy Wednesday! Today is a somber day as we remember all those affected by the tragedies of 9/11. We shall never forget this day that changed the history of our country forever. I have just come from dropping my parents off at the airport after a very wonderful three week visit with them, so today is just that little bit extra hard to have them leave and fly on this day.

After being on vacation mode these past several weeks, I’m hoping to play catch up here on my blog with a project post today for both Therm O Web and my little AudOnes Prims shop. It’s been quite some time since I listed anything in my shop, but that is my plan for the next few days, starting with these silly sweet corn on the cob prims that I made over the summer for the Therm O Web blog. These little cuties feature a combo of my favorite fabrics from Crossroads Denim and Blend Fabrics designer Cori Dantini along with Therm O Web Stitchn’Sew fleece.

If you’d like to give these corny corns a try, I’ve got the full step-by-step tutorial up on the Therm O Web blog.

Or, you can find this trio of cobs listed now in my Shop! (And hopefully a few other cuties will be joining them, too)

Enjoy the rest of your week, friends! And happy weekend ahead!

June Bug Butterflies with Therm O Web

Happy Monday, everyone!

This week, the Therm O Web team is joining up with our friends at Dear Stella fabrics. We’ve got a full week of inspiration for you showcasing a variety of beautiful Dear Stella collections mixed with Therm O Web’s line-up of sewing and quilting products. Since school is now out, and summer is officially here, I couldn’t wait to play with the adorable June Bug line. And today, I have a fun summer-inspired fabric project to share.

AudreyPettit Thermoweb DearStella ButterflyClipsI love the bright floral patterns to the June Bug collection. Makes me think of my summer flowers starting to put on their show, and the butterflies coming to visit them. I think that’s my favorite part of the summer garden. Butterflies and flowers just go hand-in-hand, don’t they?

AudreyPettit Thermoweb DearStella ButterflyClips2I thought I would bring a touch of that summer garden inside with a few butterflies of my own. These little fabric softies make me smile. They combine the bold colors and florals of summer with the shabby sweet prim look that I love so well. I added mini clothespins to the backs of these, so they can easily be clipped to branch or bough.

AudreyPettit Thermoweb DearStella ButterflyClips2Or tuck them into a bowl or basket, instead. They make the perfect little ornament, or bowl filler, or shelf sitter, or gift topper, or just about anything you wish. Love a little decor piece that can do double-duty like that.

AudreyPettit Thermoweb DearStella ButterflyClips5 I made a couple of versions of these cuties using my favorite June Bug prints. Love that they work with basically any pattern, for a unique outcome every time. I have a full tutorial up on the Therm O Web blog, if you’d like to learn more.

And you can find these prim butterfly clips in my AudOnes Prims Summer Shop, too!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Wishing you all a wonderful day!

AudOnes Prims Summer Shop- Now Open

Hello Sweeties!

It’s quite different for me to be posting on a Sunday. But today is the first of May, and that means it’s time to open my new AudOnes Prims Summer Shop!

AudOnesPrims WhaleTalePillowTuck2
Summer is all about vacation and long, breezy days at the shore. Family bbq’s and picnics. And of course the good ol’ US of A. I hope to have captured all of this and more with my new collection of summer-edition shabby sweet prims.

I do love opening day. I always feel a great rush of nerves and excitement to share my silly fabric creations with you. I think what strikes me the most today is that with this Summer Shop, I’ve now completed all four seasons. I’ve gone all the way around the calendar with my prims, and will soon be back to the beginning.

Summer Shop Sneak Peek- Prim Button Flags

Happy Wednesday, Friends!

I am so excited today to start sharing a few special previews of my new summer edition AudOnes Prims! I know it has been quiet in the shop lately, but behind the scenes has been a flurry of activity getting ready for my new Summer Shop, opening this Sunday May 1st.

28 Lilac Lane Banner

The summer shop will be filled with all things bright and colorful, and well…. summer-y. And I am so happy to share my new little sillies with you! Today I wanted to share a peek at a sweet little Americana project I’ve made featuring gorgeous buttons from 28 Lilac Lane.

Some of you may know this by now (snicker), but I like to decorate my house for the seasons and holidays. And my go-to look for summer is patriotic Americana. So of course I could not resist creating some red, white, and blue decor for my summer shop.

AudOnesPrims ButtonFlagTuck2
I had so much fun creating a mini flag for these little bowl filler pillow tucks. I used tea-stained fabric and some old recycled denim for the field. Broke out my Tim Holtz star stencil and paint, too. And then the stripes were dressed up with beautiful 28 Lilac Lane buttons in a blend of white and cream.

I love how the buttons add a vintage feel to the flags. Perfect for that shabby, rustic look that I adore so much.

These little flag tucks, along with all my summer prims, will be available in the Shop at 10:00 am EST, Sunday May 1st. And in the mean time, if there’s anything that you still want from my Spring Shop, now is the time to grab it!

Thank you so much for stopping by. Wishing you all a wonderful day!
