Welcome to the My Creative Time 70th Edition Release Blog Hop! Today is a happy day, because finally it’s release day for all of the wonderful products you’ve been seeing in the sneak peeks throughout this past week. I am so excited to be joining in on the fun with a special guest project. You should have arrived from Ruthie’s blog, but if you’ve gotten lost anywhere along the way, you can start back at the My Creative Time blog.

We are huge Halloween lovers here at my house, so for my project today, I couldn’t resist making a spooky sweet gift set for a surprise treat for my daughter who’s just recently headed off to college. Can’t wait to see her face when she gets a hold of these!

These cute treats were made with the new Stitched Bat Die and the matching Bat Sentiments stamp set, which is the freebie set for this month’s release. I absolutely love how versatile this bat is, and know it’s going to be a big hit this holiday season. Makes the most adorable candy holder, and works great on cards, layouts, and home decor projects, too.

I am the last stop along the hop, so thank you so much for joining us!

And here’s more information for you about today’s release.

Spooky Wishes with Paper Sweeties

AudreyPettit PaperSweeties HappyHalloweenSet
Today I have the pleasure of guest designing for Paper Sweeties. Such a “sweet” collection of stamps and dies from my super sweet and talented friend, Debbie. I know many of you already know and love her work as much as I do, and I am so excited to share some projects with you Paper Sweeties fans today!

AudreyPettit PaperSweeties HappyHalloweenSet2
Many of you know by now how much I adore the fall and all things Halloween, so of course I chose the adorable Halloween set, Spooky Wishes, to play with. I cannot resist that sweet little ghost with its Boo sign and pumpkin treat bag. They were a perfect match up with the stars and banner from the Be Happy Sweet Cuts die set.

I paper pieced the ghost and sign with some older Authentique patterned papers, and shabby inked the edges for a time-worn feel. The pumpkin treat bags were watercolored. I added yellow Distress ink to the cream patterned paper before die cutting the stars, and then coated them with clear Wink of Stella for a bit of shimmer and shine.

The Paper Sweeties blog is full of inspiration and ideas, so do stop by and say hello! And thanks for popping in! Wishing you all a wonderful day.

Colorful Life with Authentique

Hiya Sweeties! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Recently the Authentique team paired up with Sweet Stamp Shop for a week of fun and inspiration, and today I’m here to share my project, a fun and colorful card using Authentique’s Be(You)tiful collection, and Sweet Stamp Shop stamps.

AudreyPettit-BeYoutiful-SweetStampShop-Colorful

I was sent the Color Wheel clear stamp set to play with, and the first thing I thought of when I saw the wheel was a sun. I had been dying to try the fun sunburst technique that is so popular these days, and this seemed the perfect opportunity. So I pulled out all the warm yellow and orange tones of the Be(You)tiful collection papers to create a bright and happy all-occasion card in this fun sunburst pattern.

AudreyPettit-BeYoutiful-SweetStampShop-Colorful3 The color wheel was stamped on water color paper and lightly colored to match the papers. I die cut the image with my Sizzix zig zag circle dies, and added a good and liberal messy coating of gold embossing powder. Stamped the sentiment on vellum to add to the bottom corner. Isn’t it so fun to see old trends come back in vogue?

If you’re not familiar with the sunburst technique, I’ve got the complete step by steps up on the Authentique blog. And thanks so much for stopping by! Hope your weeks are off to a great start. Mine is going to be fabulous, I can just tell. I’m giddy already. This guy right here is coming home this week!!

P1020876Thursday morning, bright and early, I’m heading up to help him move out of his dorm room. Then it’s back here for the summer. And that, my friends, makes me feel like dancing!

Be(you)tiful

Hello friends! Hope you all had a great weekend and are ready for the start of a fun-filled summer week. Today I have another card to share with you. One of my Authentique CHA booth projects using a collection I haven’t shared with you yet. This is Be(You)tiful.

The colors of this collection have been associated with summer, but it is not a summer specific collection at all. This is a great year-round paper collection that can be used everyday. Since I’m crushing big time on grey lately, this sweet collection is one of my top recent faves.

AudreyPettit_BeYoutifulCardAren’t those little roller skaters adorable? They are from the Footloose Authentique/HamptonArt co-branded stamp set.  I let their nostalgic feel dictate the design of the card….soft and sweet with lots of layers of die cuts, stickers, fabric and trim, and stitching.

If you’d like to see more design ideas featuring the fabulous Be(you)tiful collection, pop over to the Authentique blog. We have an amazing post full of gorgeous projects from the design team as well as a few projects from our Facebook fans to inspire you. I know you will love it, as I do!

Thanks so much for stopping by, my friends! Wishing you all a wonderful day!
