2021 Christmas Card Project- Week 5

Happy Friday, crafty friends! As I mentioned in a previous post, from now until December I am on a mission to make at least one holiday card a week during a crafty Zoom session with my friend, Kathie. It’s one way to stay connected to friends and family during these quarantine days, and a great way to build up my stash of cards for the year at the same time. I am calling this my 2021 Christmas Card Project, and each week I hope to share my progress with you.

For week 5, I made a winter-inspired shaker card using the adorable Winter Memories collection by PhotoPlay Paper and Deco Foil printed Toner sheets from Therm O Web.

Therm O Web Toner Sheets make the most perfect shaker windows, and they come in many different patterns and designs. For this card, I used a print that reminded me of falling snow, and used Opal Deco Foil transfer sheets to keep with a snowy feel. The sequin and bead mix is from Sizzix.

I love the sweet critters in this paper collection. One more holiday card to add to my stash!

Thanks so much for stopping by. Happy weekend, everyone!

Love Notes Tags with Therm O Web

Happy Wednesday, crafty friends! I have more Valentine fun to share with you today. This time, a pair of love note tags that I made recently for the Therm O Web blog.

These tags once again feature the adorable Love Letters collection by PhotoPlay Paper that I shared yesterday. The tag die is also from PhotoPlay. Part of their Say It With Stamps line. I used more images from the new die cut sheets for the birds and mailboxes. Absolutely love that all the coloring is already done for you.

I used Therm O Web Glitz Glitter Gel to create the pretty falling heart pattern. And a bit of iCraft Deco Foil Flock sheet to make the snowbanks. Really love the texture they both bring. As always, I’ve got the complete step-by-step tutorial for this project up on the Therm O Web blog, if you’d like to learn more.

Happy Valentine’s!

You’re Snow Cool with Therm O Web & LDRS Creative

Happy Monday, crafty friends! Hope you all had a lovely weekend! It’s raining cats and dogs here today (and foxes and snowmen)… so a very good day to stay inside and tackle that holiday to-do list. I’m happy to say that the bulk of my Christmas cards are going out today, yay! Now we’ll just see if any of them make it in time.

Last week, the Therm O Web team joined up for the first time with LDRS Creative, and I received the cutest little fox stamps and dies to play with. I shared one card with you on Friday (scroll down one post or click here to see it), and today I am back with a second. This time pairing the adorable Snowball Fight and Pine Tree Forest stamps with Ranger’s new Kraft Heavystock paper and Therm O Web Glitz Glitter Gel in white. I absolutely love the look of white on kraft for the holidays, don’t you? Think it reminds me of brown paper packages, tied up with string. And these are a few of my favorite things.

As always, if you’d like to learn more about this project, head on over to the Therm O Web blog and check out my step-by-step tutorial. And thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Friday, crafty friends! The freezin’ season has hit us in North Carolina! If I didn’t believe it before, these temperatures we’ve been having definitely are reminding me that winter and Christmas are almost here. So perfect time to share this sweet holiday card with you today that I made for our collaboration with LDRS Creative on the Therm O Web blog this week.

If you’re not familiar with LDRS Creative, you need to check them out! They have some of the cutest stamps out on the market, and if you love critter stamps as much as I do, you will become an instant fan. This is the adorable Snowball Fight stamp and coordinating die set that I used on my petite 3.5×5 card today. The border of pine trees is one of their stamps, too. I paired both with a fabulous two-step stencil by PhotoPlay Paper and some bright red Glitz Glitter Gel by TOW. I always love a touch of sparkle at the holidays.

In honor of our fun collaboration this week, Therm O Web is offering up a $40 gift card to our online shop, so be sure to pop over to the blog to get yourself entered. And as always, I’ve got the full step-by-step tutorial for this project there, as well, if you’d like to learn more.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Yuletide Holiday with Therm O Web

Happy Monday, crafty friends! How are the holiday preparations coming along at your house? Although I still have a long way to go, I’m excited to say that I got a bit of decorating done this past weekend, and I absolutely love how festive things are starting to look. I hope to share a tour of the dining room soon. But in the mean time, I thought today I would share a peek at a new addition to my sideboard display this year…. some adorable holiday tomato pincushions that I made recently for the Therm O Web blog.

One of my favorite things about the Therm O Web team is being able to play and create with both paper and fabric. So when they asked me recently to make a holiday themed fabric project, I jumped at the chance. If you are at all fond of sewing, or perhaps just collecting vintage things, then I’m sure you’re familiar with the tomato pincushions that these cuties are fashioned after. I just love the nostalgia of these trinkets, and how fun don’t they look in this Tim Holtz Yuletide fabric!

There’s very little sewing involved in the making of these pincushions, and I know that even very beginner sewers could tackle these with ease.  I think these would look so cute made up in different fabrics for the seasons and holidays. And they make a great gift idea, too. If you’re interested in learning more, be sure to check out my step-by-step tutorial on the Therm O Web blog.

Or, you can find these available for sale now in my AudOnes Prims Shop!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead!

Therm O Web & Reverse Confetti Week

Happy Wednesday, crafty friends! We’re having some fun on the Therm O Web blog, joining up with our friends at Reverse Confetti for a week of project ideas and inspiration. And of course a good collaboration week needs a prize giveaway, too, so be sure to keep reading to the bottom of this post.

I am up on the Therm O Web blog today with a fun card and tag set featuring new stamps from the Reverse Confetti November release paired with our fabulous iCraft Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets.

I am a big sucker for plaid, so I was very excited to receive the adorable Plaid Lines Big and Small Cover Panel die sets from Reverse Confetti. What awesome backgrounds they make, and such easy ones, too. I die cut two different shades of our green flock sheets for this card, and layered them onto a crisp white card base. The Circle Rays Duo die, the monstera  plant image, and the sentiment are all from RC, as well. I simply added a small piece of ribbon trim, and used pop dots for dimension, to finish this design.

I also made a pair of gift tags using the same floral and sentiment stamps sets as the card above. There are two different circle sizes in the Circle Rays Duo die set, and I used the smaller one this time to layer behind the openings of the tags. I love the extra detail that bit of texture adds to the background, and I tell you what…this fun Fold Over Window Tag die is one of my current faves from RC. So simple to put together, and useful for so many things.

If you are interested in learning more about today’s projects, I have the complete step-by-step tutorial posted on the Therm O Web blog. And now, how about a prize giveaway?

Click on the logo (image) above, and be sure to follow the steps at the bottom of the post to enter yourself to win a $50 Gift Card to Shop with ThermOWeb and Reverse Confetti!

Happy Monday, crafty friends! It’s release day again at Therm O Web, and we are celebrating with another blog hop on Instagram. This time, the hop showcases the new Unity toner card fronts in winter and holiday designs. Hop along with us for lots of project ideas and inspiration, and fabulous prize giveaways, too. Keep reading for all the details!

Here’s a peek at the projects I made for today’s Instagram hop. This card and tag set feature the new Flurry Forest Toner Card Fronts. Both designs are foiled with some of Therm O Web’s awesome iCraft Deco Foil Transfer Sheets to create the beautiful shiny finish that you see here. I used two different techniques with the card fronts, though, to show you their versatility. The toner printing on the cards is designed for heat-transfer foiling, but these sheets can also be inked, colored, or cut out… like I’ve done here.

For more information on today’s hop, be sure to visit @unitystampco and @thermoweb on Instagram for all the details. Don’t forget to leave comments along the hop for your chance to win 5 $25 Gift Cards from Unity and a $50 Gift Card from ThermOWeb (there’s a bonus chance on the Therm O Web blog!) Look for winners to be announced on Unity & ThermOWeb’s Instagrams and on the ThermOWeb blog.

Happy hopping! And thanks so much for stopping by!

Scaredy Cat Fabric Week with Therm O Web

Hello, crafty friends! This week is a fun week on the Therm O Web blog, as we have joined up with our friend Amanda Niederhauser to create fall and Halloween projects with her Scaredy Cat fabric line. Amanda used to design with us at Therm O Web, and has since gone on to create her own product line. We are all so proud of her wonderful accomplishments, and couldn’t wait to get our hands on her adorable fabric.

As many of you know, I took up cross-stitch again at the beginning of the year, and I’ve noticed that most of the stitchers who share on social media use zippered project bags to hold their supplies. These pouches are perfect for holding everything you need for a work in progress, including the cross-stitch fabric, charts, embroidery floss, needle, and scissors. And of course, zipper bags are useful for many other things, too.

So for my Scaredy Cat project, I made a pair of zipper pouch project bags. Both a large one for holding fabric and charts, and a smaller notion bag. These pouches are fully lined, and padded with Therm O Web fusible fleece for structure and durability.

I’ve just recently learned how to install a zipper, and just want to say to all you other beginning sewers out there… if I can do it, you can do it, too! These pouches are fun and quite easy to make. I’ve got the full step-by-step tutorial up on the Therm O Web blog, if you’d like to learn more.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful day!

You are My Sunshine with CardMaps

PMU Header

Happy Wednesday, crafty friends! Today I have a card to share that I made for the July release of the new CardMaps sketches on the PageMaps blog.

Here is the fun sketch that I used, and my take on it featuring GinaK Designs stamps and a Unity card front from Therm O Web.

One of my favorite things about Therm O Web is the diverse range of products and designers that they work with. This past spring, they partnered up with Unity stamps to create a line of toner card fronts that work beautifully with or without TOW deco foils. For this card, I used Copic markers to color a Floral Background card front sheet to create that pretty sunflower card base.

I love how well the GinaK Designs Graphic Sunflowers stamps coordinate with the Unity background. I always think of sunflowers in August. One last burst of summer color before autumn sets in.

Hope your August is going well! Hard to believe it’s about half over already. My missy Nik started her senior year of college this week, can you fathom that? And Pete’s back in Richmond doing a hospital pharmacy rotation before his classes start back up. Summer sure flew by, didn’t it?
