Happy Friday, crafty friends! As I mentioned in a previous post, from now until December I am on a mission to make at least one holiday card a week during a crafty Zoom session with my friend, Kathie. It’s one way to stay connected to friends and family during these quarantine days, and a great way to build up my stash of cards for the year at the same time. I am calling this my 2021 Christmas Card Project, and each week I hope to share my progress with you.
For week 23, I made two cards with the brand new holiday collection from PhotoPlay Paper called North Pole.
The first card mixes paper from the 6×6 paper pad with one of the larger 4×6 images from the cut-apart journaling card sheet. I trimmed around the card and edged the bottom with scallops, and snipped off a bit from the sides to make it fit. The little Santa was fussy cut from another journaling card. And I added a few cardstock stickers around Santa to finish the design.
One of my favorite things about this collection is the introduction of blue to the traditional holiday colors, and the second card features this fun color palette. Once again, I cut down one of the journaling cards, edged it with scallops and mixed it with papers from the 6×6 pad. The stack of presents is from the sticker sheet.
Hope those who celebrated had a wonderful 4th of July holiday weekend here in the States. Sure was nice to have my parents here visiting, and we did it up with a nice BBQ and some of that pie I mentioned last time. Happy weekend, friends! And thanks so much for stopping by!
