A Sweet as Honey Mother’s Day with PhotoPlay Paper

Happy Thursday, crafty friends! With Mother’s Day quickly approaching this weekend, I thought now was the perfect time to share this mom card that I made for PhotoPlay Paper featuring their adorable Sweet as Honey collection.

As you may guess from the cute garden gnome, Sweet as Honey is a continuation of the popular Tulla & Norbert product line that PhotoPlay began releasing last year. This kit is perfect for spring and summer with it’s bright sunny colors and garden theme filled with flowers and bees. I created an outdoorsy scene for my card using stickers from the collection and a couple of die sets. I really love all the flowers, and I think most moms would, too.

To turn this card from an everyday card into a Mother’s Day card, I used a sentiment die set from PhotoPlay’s Say it With Stamps collection to die cut the word Mom into the front of the card. Once die cut, I nestled the wording back in place, adhering it to the inside of the card to create a fun, peek-a-boo window for a little element of surprise.

I hope all of you celebrating Mother’s Day this Sunday have an amazing weekend! And thanks so much for stopping by!
