Happy Saturday, crafty friends! This past week I had the great pleasure of creating a Mother’s Day project tutorial for the Ranger Ink Project Page. And since this is Mother’s Day weekend for those of us in the States, I wanted to share my project here with you, too.
This larger 5×7 card was created with my mother in mind. She loves bird images and nature scenes, so of course I thought these fabulous Tim Holtz birds from the Feathered Friends die set would be perfect for her. And in this larger size format, this card could be displayed as is, or placed into a standard 5×7 frame to be used as a home decor piece all year round.
I’ve become quite addicted to these birds. I think they are my top favorite set from Tim’s Chapter 2 2020 release. I often pair them with another favorite die set, Funky Wreath, and I’ve done that again here. Although these dies cut tradition round wreath shapes, I’ve found they can be easily manipulated into other forms when snipped apart and softened with a bit of water coloring. I added in some small die cut flowers from an older set, and personalized the card with a Tiny Type alphabet sentiment.
My mom has already received this card, so no spoilers here. Love you, Mom!
As always, I’ve got the complete step-by-step tutorial for this project up on the Ranger Ink Project Page, if you’d like to learn more.

This is GORGEOUS! LOVING those birds!
This is one beautiful card, Audrey! In fact, after seeing it, I went and ordered the bird dies. The wreath is out of stock but on my list!
