Happy Wednesday, crafty friends! Just one week until Christmas! Are you all ready? I think I’ll be working down to the wire…..but that seems to be pretty normal for me. Today I’m diving back into the Tim Holtz Sizzix Chapter 4 Release for my holiday project share. This time, a card that I made with the new Deck the Halls Thinlits set.
One of my favorite things about the Distress line is it’s fluidity and ability to mix with water, and that’s just what I did here on this card with that watercolor background. First I applied a very loose wash of Peacock Feathers and Peeled Paint Distress ink, and later added some tone on tone stripes using the Mint Shifter stencil from Stamper’s Anonymous.
Strips of Idea-ology paper and circle die cuts frame the little pine and holly cluster. Love that you can make swags and garlands and bows with this set. So very versatile. I die cut my layers primarily from sanded Kraft Stock cardstock, just using a single topping of coordinating patterned paper on the pine cones to tie everything together. A simple stamped sentiment banner finishes the design.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Wishing you all a wonderful day!
