Happy Monday, crafty friends! What a beautiful weekend it was here in the Carolinas! The sun came out with temperatures into the 50’s, and the Missy Nik and I were able to spend a lot of time running around in the park with my new little pup buddy, Finley. We ran and played sticks, climbed on the jungle gym and rode down the slides, and met lots of new doggy friends. What a welcome break after the cold of the past several weeks.
Today’s card is one of the projects that I made for the Therm O Web booth at the Creativations show this January, and features our amazing new Deco Flock transfer sheets. Deco Foil Flock Transfer Sheets come in large (6 by 12 inch) velvety transfer sheets, is available in 8 vibrant colors, and eliminates the mess of working with that loose flocking powder of the past. I think you are going to love the soft fuzzy texture it adds to your papercrafting projects.
Just like our Deco Foil transfer sheets, there are several different ways to apply the new flock sheets, including the heat transfer of a laminator machine, or just the use of your regular die cutting machine. I used a stencil and deco foil transfer gel to create the flocked patterned paper strip in the background. Love how the white flock application looks on colored cardstock. And the pretty hello die cut from the sentiment was flocked in the same white transfer sheet using our double-sided adhesive foam. So many uses and ways to use these new sheets!
The stamped sentiment and flower are from the beautiful Graphic Sunflowers Stampn’foil set by Gina K Designs. And I added in some of her heavyweight cardstock and the Decorative Tag die set, too. I’ve got the full step-by-step tutorial for creating this card up on the Therm O Web blog, if you’d like to learn more.
Thanks for stopping by, friends! Hope you had a wonderful weekend, and here’s to an awesome week ahead!
