Therm O Web & GinaK Designs Winter Stampn’foil Release Blog Hop

Hi crafty friends, and welcome to the Therm O Web & GinaK Designs Winter Stampn’Foil blog hop! Today is the reveal day for two beautiful new winter holiday-inspired Stampn’Foil collections, and we are celebrating with a blog hop full of inspiration and project ideas from the Therm O Web and GinaK Designs teams. And of course there are some awesome prizes to give away along the way, too….

You should have arrived here from the Therm O Web blog, but if you are just popping in, you can start at the beginning HERE.

For my project, I created a Christmas card in a fun retro color palette using the new Holly Jolly Stampn’foil set. This adorable set contains a great mix of stamp images, including some favorites that work really well for either Christmas or for winter-inspired designs. I combined the holly and the poinsettia images in the focal cluster you see here, and used some of the other stamps from the set to create my own background patterned papers, as well.

I always love a good side view of our foils, so that you can really catch a glimpse of the beautiful shine. I used Red Velvet Fancy Foils and the matching Holly Jolly toner detail sheets to add those pretty red foil highlights to the focal poinsettia blossoms. And check out all the layers of color on those flowers from the Stampn’foil multi-step stamping process which allows you to stamp each individual section in a different color. I am a neutral-loving girl at heart, but there’s something about the holidays that just calls for brighter colors, and this retro color palette (Innocent Pink, Cherry Red, and Turquoise Sea by GinaK Designs) is one of my absolute favorites for Christmas.

For something a little bit different, the base of my card is a petite 3.5″ x 5″ size. I used matching colors of GinaK cardstocks to layer the base, and stamped tone-on-tone patterns on both the background panel and the pink banner strip down the middle of the card using stamps from the Holly Jolly set. The GinaK Decorative Tag die set was used to die cut the center tag. I embellished the tag with a thin strip of stitched cardstock and pretty GinaK Designs white satin ribbon. The sentiment was stamped directly onto the tag, while the holly leaves and poinsettias were die cut and popped onto the tag with 3D adhesive squares. White wax pen details and enamel dots finish the design.

If you are just joining me, be sure to go back and start at the Therm O Web blog for all the information and details on today’s hop. And don’t forget to enter our prize giveaway while you are there for your chance to win the new collection, a prize value of over $200.

Keep hopping along with us for a chance to win additional prizes, too! And check out our Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube pages for even more chances to win!
