The clouds have completely obscured the sun here in my neck of the woods, so I thought I would try to create my own sunshine on this dreary summer day with my card share for today. A happy hello card that I made for the Therm O Web blog last week using the new Aloha collection from Photo Play Paper and adorable stamps from Waffleflower Crafts.
The focus of my post was to find creative ways to use our iCraft deco foil stencils. For this card I came up with a cool, retro patterned paper design made with layered stencils. This can be done with one stencil or with several mixed together.
This is such an easy technique, and is a great way to stretch the use of your crafting tools. And it works particularly well with abstract designs, like this Modern Links stencil, and totally changes up the look of the original pattern. I’ve got the full step-by-step tutorial up on the Therm O Web blog, if you’d like to learn more.
Hope your week is off to a great start! Thanks so much for stopping by!
