My full-time work schedule this past spring left little time for playing in my craft room, so I’m very excited to be back to part-time…. and back to my beloved crafty supplies. Of course first thing, I’ve pulled out some of my favorites from Tim Holtz, Sizzix, and Stamper’s Anonymous for a little crafty play day. And today I have a shabby sweet paper dolls art tag to share with you.
It’s always fun to experiment a bit with different backgrounds, and that’s just what I’ve tried to do on this soft pastel tag. I used a pretty Distress combo of pink and brown to ink up a Diamonds layering stencil, and then I doodled over the negative spaces with a lilac Distress marker before finishing up with a heavy spritz of water and a healthy coat of Ranger opaque crackle paste and ink. The tags for the base and the sentiment were die cut using the Sizzix Tim Holtz Tag Collection set. I cut an oval opening in the top tag using a Stitched Ovals Thinlit die.
The flowers and greens are a mix of Sizzix Wildflowers dies and the new Funky Floral dies, all watercolored with Distress inks. A bit of light stamping, a mini tag, and paper dolls complete the scene. These two remind me of my own sweet girl and pup, when they were wee tiny….. even if they look nothing like them. Sweet nostalgia!
Thanks for stopping by, friends! Wishing you all a wonderful day!
