Let’s BBQ with Photo Play Paper

Hi friends, happy Father’s Day! Hope you have plans for the day to celebrate all those special men in your lives. Today is a great day for a BBQ, isn’t it? Perfect time to share this last masculine guy card I made this week for Photo Play Paper featuring their fabulous Man Card collection.

It’s not often I get to spend Father’s Day in person with my dad, so I am feeling particularly blessed this year. We actually had our big celebration yesterday, so that the whole family could get together. And yes, I did barbecue for my dad….. ribs and corn on the cob, topped off with a homemade apple pie. Such a happy day.

I thought this BBQ card would go along perfectly with our menu for the day. Lots of fun plaids and die cuts, layered with journaling cards and crisp black cardstock. I added a pair of crisscrossed stickers tied with twine to the front of the card, and finished off with another pair for the inside.

If you’re on Photo Play’s mailing list, you will have received the instructions for my cards in your inbox this week. If you missed it, you can CLICK HERE for the instructions and HERE for the free cut files.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you have a wonderful day!

  2. Perfect card for your Father’s Day celebration yesterday, Audrey! It’s hot and humid here with temperatures reaching 100 tomorrow and Tuesday. I am ready for Fall!

  3. Awesome BBQ Father’s Day card! Love the utensils and the cording. That pig’s pretty fun too!
So glad you got to see your dad and have a big cookout together…

  4. The pig is fantastic. All the die cut images you’ve been using have added so much interest to your cards. The little twine tying the utensils together is a cute addition.

  5. Nicely done! You do masculine cards oh-so-well. LOVE the pig!
Glad you had a lovely Father’s Day with your dad. My dad was spoiled rotten in a 3 day long holiday weekend celebration (soon to be documented in a layout of course!)
