Stud Muffin with Photo Play Paper

Happy Friday, friends! I’m back today with another masculine guy card to share. This time, a shaped card I made for Photo Play Paper using their awesome Man Card collection. And if you’re on their mailing list, you would have received the free cutting file and downloadable instructions for this project in your inbox this week.

I don’t often make shaped cards, so this was a lot of fun for me, and I think the sailboat shape is perfect for Father’s Day this weekend. I used a mix of three patterned papers to create the hull and sails, and then fashioned some rigging using flag stickers popped up with foam tape. Added a simple twine loop to finish the line. The wave at the bottom of the boat is the negative of the scalloped border I die cut from the solid navy blue section of one of the cut-apart journaling cards.

This sailboat pattern is available as a free cutting file, which you can download here. And you can find the step-by-step directions for this project here, if you’d like to learn more.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Hope you all have a wonderful Father’s Day weekend with all those special stud muffins out there!
