We’re having fun on the Therm O Web blog this week, joining up with the gang at Jillibean Soup! Both blogs are filled with project inspiration all week long, mixing Jillibean’s adorable paper and mixed media collections with Therm O Web’s awesome deco foil products, and more…. and we’ve got a great prize to give away, too. Keep reading for more information on that!
May is a big birthday month for me, so for my project, I made a birthday gift set featuring Jillibean’s beautiful Farmhouse Stew collection. I love the bright and happy colors in this line. So perfect for spring and summer birthdays, and just about any other occasion, too.
As with many of my gift set ideas, when I’m looking to make several projects that coordinate together, I usually start with the card. May just seems to call for flowers, so that was the jumping off point for my design. The mason jar, the sentiment strip, and the flower bouquet are all from the die cut shape sheet, and were so easy to put together. I chose three papers from the collection kit that pulled colors from the bouquet and layered them with crisp white Therm O Web Premium Cardstock to make all the patterns pop.
I needed a small gift box for my birthday set, and this mini pizza box die shape from Sizzix was the perfect size. I die cut the box from Premium White cardstock, and added some of the same papers I used on the card to pull everything together. A GinaK Designs tag, decorated with stickers and die cuts, was tied to the box with twine. I am crazy about those Jillibean Soup Mix the Media Felt Flowers…. good grief, I would add those to everything, if I could.
Can’t wait to give this gift set to the birthday girl! Stop by the Therm O Web blog for the full tutorial, if you’d like to learn more.
