Eat Cake with Therm O Web & Brutus Monroe

Happy Friday, friends! I’m back today with day two of my projects for the Brutus Monroe match-up on the Therm O Web blog this week.

For my first Brutus project, I shared a card straight from the flower garden. And this time, I’m going with a more whimsical approach with Brutus’ fun Topsy Cakes stamps on a set of gift tags. I think these tags would work great for birthdays, or retirements, or weddings, or any celebratory occasion….. or even just the end of the work week, like today. I mean, I hardly ever need an excuse to eat cake!

I pulled out some GinaK Designs dies from the Decorative Tag Set for both the small and large tag shapes here. The Topsy Cakes were stamped onto the tags, and then masked to add the stenciled pattern in the background. The images were colored with Copic markers.

A sentiment from the Topsy Cakes set was stamped onto the smaller tags, and tied to the top with a bit of twine. GinaK gingham ribbon was inked to match. As always, I’ve got the full tutorial for this project up on the Therm O Web blog, if you’d like to learn more.

Happy weekend to you! Thanks so much for stopping by!
