Whale of a Good Time

Happy Fri-YAY, friends! Thanks so much for stopping by!
I have to say, this past week has really gotten by me. We are down a person at work, and I have been filling in with lots of extra shifts and days. And unfortunately, that has left me little time to visit, and no time at all for crafty play. So today, I’m reaching way back into my archives to share a project from last year, this whale of a cute birthday card.

Every once in awhile, I like to challenge myself to pull out an old collection kit and see what I can do with it, and that’s just what I’ve done here with this super-retro RSVP line from Basic Grey. I started with papers from the 6×6 pad mixed with some vintage PL cards (American Crafts, I think?) for the background. The whale is from the old snippets booklet. Do you all remember those? Finished off with vellum tape and twine, die cut photo corners and enamel dots. My goodness but Basic Grey used to pack their collections with tons of embellies.

We’re supposed to hit 80 degrees here today! Maybe spring has finally arrived.
Hope it’s a beautiful weekend in your neck of the woods, too!
