Hello, hello, Friends! Happy Monday!
I’m back today with another Valentine project. This time, some silly sweet matchbook-style note cards I made for the Ranger Ink blog.
Matchbook cards remind me of the boxed Valentine cards my kiddos grew up with. There’s something very nostalgic about them, and although I don’t make them very often, they are my top go-to design for Valentines. If you have kids at home, you can easily make cards like these together. Or, they work great in grown-up versions, too.
I love how easy these cards are to make, perfect for re-creating in bulk, if needed. I added texture to the simple design with an embossed background, grunged up with Distress inks and a bit of Vintage Collage Medium. A few hearts and lovey dovey sentiment, of course, for Valentine’s Day. And my favorite Tim Holtz Crazy Dogs.
I have the complete step-by-step tutorial for creating these Valentines up on the Ranger Ink blog, if you’d like to learn more.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Any happy football fans out there?
