Happy February, Crafty Friends!
Recently I’ve had the great honor of creating projects for PhotoPlay Paper using their newest lines, including the 12 new collections they released for Creativation this year. But before the 12, there was their adorable Valentine line, So Loved. Since today kicks off the month of love, I thought I would share a little love themed project. And if you’re on PhotoPlay Paper’s email list, the downloadable instruction sheet for this project went out today.
This little love note looks much like a card, but is actually a home decor desk frame made from recycled materials. The base is made from raw chipboard, like a cereal box or some leftover packaging material. Or pieces of a cardboard box would do, too.
I love adding little seasonal touches like this to my home decor. Or this would make a great handmade gift idea for your special Valentine this year. The design is very simple, and can be dressed up in style you choose. Decorate two panels, punch holes in the top, and thread them together with ribbon or twine. I call this an easel-style frame, since it opens with a hinge at the top. Or maybe you would call it a sandwich-board.
If you’re interested in free instructions for projects like these, including layout and card designs, home decor, free cutting files, and more, be sure to sign up for PhotoPlay Paper‘s email list.
Thanks so much for stopping by! And for those of you who’ve been asking…. I am working on a few special Valentine’s for my AudOnes Prim shop. Creativation being later this year has really put me behind, but a few little things are coming.
The supplies I’ve used are linked and/or listed below for your convenience:
