Wicked Spooky Halloween Treats with Sizzix

Happy Monday, Crafty Friends!

Today I have a wickedly spooky Halloween sweet treat idea to share, made for the Sizzix blog featuring favorite new Alterations dies and Idea-ology bits and bobs from Tim Holtz’s amazing 2016 Halloween release.

There are a couple of seasonal treats that we look forward to each year. For me, it’s candy corn. And pumpkin spice lattes. For my Missy Nik, it’s pumpkin cookies by Little Debbie. Usually they are in all the stores at this time of year, but for some reason, this year they’ve been harder to find. A perfect candidate for some special treats to tuck into her work lunchboxes.

I love packaging ideas like this for their ease and simplicity. These matchbook-style pocket sleeves come together really quickly, and are a great idea for making in bulk. Better yet, they can be made in many sizes to fit any number of sweets or small gifts you have on hand.

I really love peek-a-boo packaging. And these adorable new Halloween Mixed Media dies by Tim Holtz are so perfect for creating cut-away windows, giving just a hint at the goodies inside. I dressed my containers up with a bit of twine and new Idea-ology spider charms and Curiosities ephemera cards, and topped them off with sentiment banners made with the new Halloween Words Thinlits.

Quick and easy, and oh-so spooky cute! I’ve got the full step-by-step tutorial up on the Sizzix blog, if you’d like to learn more.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Wishing you all a very spook-tacular day!
