Celebrating the Scrap Pile

Hello, Crafty Friends! Happy Friday!

I’m getting a bit of a late start today, but I did want to pop in quickly to share another card from my “projects from the scrap pile” series. I’m still working on building up my birthday card stash. And once again, I’m using scraps and leftover embellishments from Little Yellow Bicycle’s adorable Fern Girl collection.

Look at all this glorious brown, my friends! You all know  I am nutso for this color combo by now. And this was such an easy card to put together, ’cause everything is pre-made. Just a few borders, banners, and accents from the paper crafting kit, layered onto a simple pieced background. Doesn’t get much easier than that.

I thought a horizontal, side-folding card would be a bit different and add a little extra element of interest to an otherwise CAS design. I rounded the right two corners, and added a little twine bow. Boom, done! A 5-minute card!

And a few more scraps removed from the mountain! 😀

Thanks for stopping by! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

  1. It’s a beauty! Brown and turquoise is my favorite color combo, but you added a wonderful green and made it even prettier. 🙂 Great use of your stash! (Wish my regular supplie stash was like your scrap pile…) 🙂

  2. Such a cute CAS card! Love the color combination also! And wait, a 5 minute card? Is that even possible? I usually take 2 hours at the very least, because I can never decide what items to use! LOL!

  3. Yes it;s defintely a gorgeous colour combo; blue, green and brown are a perfect match. I love this layered design with that fab green banner you added!

  4. You must know I LOVE that doily on Kraft piece! Pretty with the turquoise too. Wish I had time to play with my scrap pile. Lol. Back to school is cutting into my crafty time.
