June Bug Butterflies with Therm O Web

Happy Monday, everyone!

This week, the Therm O Web team is joining up with our friends at Dear Stella fabrics. We’ve got a full week of inspiration for you showcasing a variety of beautiful Dear Stella collections mixed with Therm O Web’s line-up of sewing and quilting products. Since school is now out, and summer is officially here, I couldn’t wait to play with the adorable June Bug line. And today, I have a fun summer-inspired fabric project to share.

AudreyPettit Thermoweb DearStella ButterflyClipsI love the bright floral patterns to the June Bug collection. Makes me think of my summer flowers starting to put on their show, and the butterflies coming to visit them. I think that’s my favorite part of the summer garden. Butterflies and flowers just go hand-in-hand, don’t they?

AudreyPettit Thermoweb DearStella ButterflyClips2I thought I would bring a touch of that summer garden inside with a few butterflies of my own. These little fabric softies make me smile. They combine the bold colors and florals of summer with the shabby sweet prim look that I love so well. I added mini clothespins to the backs of these, so they can easily be clipped to branch or bough.

AudreyPettit Thermoweb DearStella ButterflyClips2Or tuck them into a bowl or basket, instead. They make the perfect little ornament, or bowl filler, or shelf sitter, or gift topper, or just about anything you wish. Love a little decor piece that can do double-duty like that.

AudreyPettit Thermoweb DearStella ButterflyClips5 I made a couple of versions of these cuties using my favorite June Bug prints. Love that they work with basically any pattern, for a unique outcome every time. I have a full tutorial up on the Therm O Web blog, if you’d like to learn more.

And you can find these prim butterfly clips in my AudOnes Prims Summer Shop, too!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Wishing you all a wonderful day!
