Main Street Parade with Photo Play Paper

Happy Monday, everyone! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Recently I had the great pleasure of creating some projects for Photo Play Paper using their new summer lines. Today I wanted to share a fun home decor project I made with their adorable patriotic Americana collection, Main Street Parade.

Main Street Parade is all about summer celebrations, like picnics, barbecues, and of course the 4th of July. In my neck of the woods, no 4th of July celebration is complete without our annual downtown parade. The sights and sounds of which I tried to capture in this small town Americana wall hanging.

Once again, my patriotic scene is made up of a variety of fun Main Street Parade cardstock stickers. I placed some directly onto the background paper, and popped up the rest with foam adhesive to give a sense of depth and space. Light inking creates the look of a bright blue sky.

I added several layers of patterned papers to frame my scene, and placed all onto a base made of painted recycled cardboard for my favorite shabby look.

This is definitely putting me in the mood for some summer fun. How about you?
