Hello everyone, and happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
Today I have another card to share with you from what I am calling my “projects from the scrap pile” series. This time, I’m mixing up my favorite Tim Holtz Flower Garden stamps with probably my most favorite BasicGrey collection of all time, Barista.
I think it’s no secret. I am a neutral-loving girl. So I’m sure it comes as no big surprise that I am crazy about this paper line. Love the bold and graphic black and white prints combined with earthy tones of burlap brown and grey…. with a pop of golden yellow thrown in for good measure. Really floats my shabby little boat, and such a perfect combo for some Flower Garden flowers.
I’ve been playing a lot with the beautiful peonies from this set recently, so today I thought I’d try out the pretty coneflower instead. I stamped the image onto white cardstock using Jet Black Archival Ink, and then colored the image using Distress Ink. When I was done, I went around the image with a blue Copic marker to add a bit of shadow and depth.
I framed the image with a Barista cardstock sticker, and added a die cut frame behind the image, too. Wrapped them both with a bit of natural twine, and added a few sequins scattered here and there. The sentiment is from the Sizzix Birthday clear stamp set. I finished off the inside of the card with a Happy Birthday image from the same set.
Thanks so much for stopping by, Friends! Wishing you a fabulous week ahead!
