Kindred Spirits with BasicGrey

Hello Sweetie Peas! Happy Friday! Today I have a home decor project to share with you. An altered frame made for BasicGrey with one of their very last paper collections ever, Saturday Morning.

This little wooden desk frame is such an easy project, and one of my very favorite to do. Love that you can pick up the frames for a dollar or two at the big box craft stores. And with all the scrapbooking supplies we have, you can make a frame for every season, holiday, or occasion out there.

This frame has me thinking of spring… so perfect for this time of year. Love those sweet birds. And so easy to make this little scene using cuts from the Ephemera Die Cuts pack. Then a simple pieced background to create the look of grass and sky.

  1. Love this, Audrey. The black and white patterns look so stunning. The few colors are perfect. The black line work on the sweet birds bring it all together. You always add twine in the best places. A beautiful springtime décor piece.

  2. HI Audrey!
I love black and white, graphic patterns and birdies so your altered frame is right up my alley and is pretty fantastic. It is so sad about BG!

  3. Wow Audrey; your birds are gorgeous and I love the way you decorated the frame. The black&white pattern is fabulous. It made me think of a graphic desing and it adds such a lovely contrast!
