Happy Friday! I’m still working through my CHA projects, and today I have another project to share that I made for my sweet friend, Tammy Tutterow, to help launch the release of her new product line with Spellbinder’s. Tammy’s fabulous new line is filled with vintage-inspired treasures, in stamps, embossing folders, and dies. And this fun project today uses a little bit of everything.
This sweet pocket portfolio is made with one of three new pocket-style steel-rule dies that Tammy is releasing in her debut collection. This is the Trifold Pocket Page die. The Trifold Page has two fold lines and has a notch that keeps the page closed, and makes a fabulous mini-card, mixed-media piece, or page element for hidden journaling in albums, notebooks, and journals. Perfect for hiding a few dreams, secrets, and notes of your own.
Isn’t that flower beautiful? I cannot tell you how excited I am to now be able to create my own vintage millinery flowers in any shape or color I wish, thanks to Tammy’s new dies. This sweet flower here makes me so happy with it’s bright yellow Distress Ink finish, and I love the texture and dimension I was able to get by mixing paper with fabric. The flower itself is from the Flowerette Posies die. I die cut three layers from paper, inked and scrunched the petals, and stacked them together, securing at the center with a bit of tacky glue. Bunching the top layers of petals together in the center creates the look of a daffodil. Love how many different styles of flowers you can create with good basic die sets like these. The leaves were die cut from inked crinoline fabric using the Pom Pom Posies die set.
One of my absolute favorite pieces from Tammy’s new collection is her Dear Ruby background stamp. The story behind this image melts my heart, and I am just a sucker for text print of any kind. Love how it looks here backing the library cards. So perfect for my theme of handwritten notes. And isn’t the texture from the Horsehair Em-bossing Fold’er amazing? Tammy’s embossing folders are extra large in size, which I think is just genius. Love being able to emboss larger items like this pocket, all in one go.
If you haven’t had a chance to see Tammy’s line yet, go and check out this post on her blog, recapping her entire new line in the 2016 Spellbinder’s catalog.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
Tammy’s new product line will be available in April. But I’ll list and link you to what product I can below:
