CHA 2016- In Your Heart with Tim Holtz

Hello Friends, and happy Friday! I have another CHA project to share with you today. This is one of my favorites that I made for Tim Holtz and the Sizzix Alterations booth. I love this one because there’s lots of great new Tim Holtz products to see!

If you’ve been following along with Tim’s new product reveals for Sizzix, Idea-ology, and Stampers Anonymous, you’ve probably seen the new Dapper product line.  Although Dapper is decidedly masculine in styling and imagery, these versatile products can be used for so much more. Like my sweet heart-themed girly card here, made with one of the new Dapper Textured Impressions embossing folder, called Tailored.

I love the tailored design on this new Textured folder, and wanted to really focus on the beautiful pattern with my design. I kept a large portion of the card clear, so the embossing could shine. A bit of light inking on the raised portions, and Picket Fence Distress Paint painted into a few of the recesses help call attention to all the beautiful detail.

You may recognize the hearts from one of Tim’s older dies called Heartfelt. But with them is a lot of fun new product, including the layered ovals backing them from the new Stitched Ovals Thinlits die set. And behind those is a closer look at two new surfaces to join the Idea-ology family this year, Substrate Sheets and Textile Surfaces. And both have been embossed with the Tailored Textured Impressions folder, too.

Other new goodies on this card include the new Idea-ology Hex Fasteners. And fans of the metal Word Bands are going to love the new Quote Bands. This is my favorite here. I’m going to need these in bulk!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

  1. This is just gorgeous! I love the background. Everything is soft and muted but the pale pink and blue really pops. I love that this is meant for tailored cards but can easily be made frilly and girlie. Love this!

  2. Holy cow!!! My list gets longer with every project you make! I’m going to needing those quote bands in bulk as well. 😄 I can’t wait to get my ovals and I definitely need the embossing folded. Love the way you added the picket fence to it. Really makes it pop! Just an all around gorgeous project!

  3. Very pretty hearts and background! Love the stitched ovals and awesome sentiment, too! Your creativity is so inspiring, Audrey! Hope you have a great weekend!:-)

  4. Marvelous Audrey!
    And such yummy texture!
Love the soft tones as well.
This beauty could be for a guy or a girl 😉
    Thank You~

  5. I think painting some of those panels with the Picket Fence was sheer genius. It really does make the pattern stand out more. You know I adore all your layered projects especially when there is cool materials involved. Bet this one drew a lot of lookers in at CHA. Hugs and stay safe and warm!
