I absolutely love it when good things happen to good people. So when my sweet friend Tammy Tutterow announced in the fall that she would be producing her very own line of products through Spellbinders, I began to cheer and clap from the sidelines. Like many of you, I have been a huge fan of Tammy’s for many years. So inspired by her gorgeous vintage style, her mixed media works of heart, her inky techniques and tutorials she so generously shares with the world.
After months of anxiously waiting, Tammy’s new line of stamps and dies was revealed this past week at CHA. And I was so, so honored and excited to help debut her products with a few projects created for her show booth. Today I am sharing the first of those projects with you, a mixed media altered burlap panel featuring one of Tammy’s fabulous new hand-lettering doodles stamps called Home Sweet Home.
Those of you who like to color are going to love these new hand-lettered doodle stamps. All eleven new stamps feature Tammy’s own handwriting in a beautiful mix of fonts and sentiments, in styles that work as well for cards as they do for art journals, mixed media, and home decor. I couldn’t resist making a framed panel with this sweet image. Such a great home decor project or housewarming gift idea. And I love that you can personalize this with any colors for a totally custom look.
I kept my coloring simple, using a mix of Distress inks and markers. There’s soft cotton batting, Wallflower patterned paper and a large paper doily. Chipboard and an old button, lace trims, and lots of shabby ink and paint.
If you haven’t had a chance yet, be sure to stop by Tammy’s blog to see the full reveal of her new Spellbinder’s stamp line. I think you’re going to love it, just as much as I do!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Oh, and don’t forget…..
