A Spooky Jack Hanging with Ranger Ink

Happy Monday! I’ve got some more spooky Halloween fun for you today. A scary little wall hanging I made recently for the Ranger Ink blog using my favorite jack o’lanterns and creepy cobwebs from Tim Holtz’s new Falloween release.

I have such a soft spot for these pumpkins. Love that there are two sizes and shapes to choose from on one die, and those big toothy grins get me every time. I’ve used these guys on cards, tags, and handmade ornaments this past month… and now here, on an even bigger home decor project. What amazing versatility.

The Cobwebs Texture Fade embossing folder makes for a super cool background, too. I used patterned paper here, inked in a variety of Distress colors before embossing, and then given a coat of Clear Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint for a shattered glass-like finish.

I added die cut bats with wings poised for flight. Mirrored stars and Distress glitter for sparkle and shine.

Leaves and moss for a natural touch. And of course lots and lots of yummy Distress colors in ink, paint, and spray form.

I’ve got more details, including the full tutorial, up on the Ranger Ink blog, if you’d like to learn more. And all the supplies I’ve used are listed and linked below.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I’ll be back early with the Halloween Haunted House Tour this week. Look for that on Wednesday, as Friday I’m playing along with the blog hop for My Creative Time’s 48th Edition Release. Hope to see you all then!

  3. You really make the most amazing Halloween creations and manage to capture the Halloween feel so well in each one of your beautiful projects. This looks amazing!

  4. This is fabulous! Love that pumpkin, he’s so “creepy cute”! The embossing is perfect. Love the way you inked, and painted, and glittered. The background looks like a galvanized metal which makes it even more rustic. This is one of my favs.
