Happy Monday Friends! I am so excited to share that I am guesting today on the Ranger blog, sharing a back to school project featuring Tim Holtz’s adorable and quirky Bird Crazy stamps and matching dies.
If you’ve got a student heading back to school this month, or are in need of a unique teacher’s gift idea, this little school supply pocket may be just what you’re looking for. I’ve added pencils to mine, but this project is easily adaptable for any number of school supplies such as pens, rulers, erasers, highlighters and much more. I think this would be cute for Post-It notes. Or this fun pocket could even work as a gift card holder, too.
This pocket holder is actually constructed of just two simple die cuts. I used Tim Holtz’s Postage Stamp Frame Movers & Shapers die, but really almost any large shape die would work. Or in a pinch, even squares or rectangles cut with a paper trimmer will do.
I created a fun inky background for my holder using Distress Inks, and then added detail with a Tim Holtz layering stencil, stamps, and a few random Remnant Rubs.
I’ve got the full step-by-step tutorial for creating this pocket pouch up on the Ranger blog, if you’d like to learn more.
And in other news….
Sharing a peek of something fun I’ve got coming up here on the blog, starting next week!
