Hello Friends! Happy Friday! Today I’m back with my second BasicGrey Barista thank you card… this time, the masculine version.
The masculine thank you card uses several of the same elements as the feminine version… a black card base, a spot of yellow, a hemp twine bow, and stamping. But this time, I kept the design a bit more streamlined and graphic for a more rugged and manly design.
One of my favorite tricks for masculine cards is to create a big and bold sentiment to act as the focal point in the card design. It’s a great graphic look that works really well on guy cards, and keeps me from sneaking in a flower or butterfly or something else entirely too girly. This sentiment is a combo of chipboard and alpha stickers with a simple kraft cardstock banner strip thrown in, and is framed perfectly in a Barista Polaroid sticker frame. I added a simple twine tie and a few additional stickers to add an extra bit of interest.
The background paper was stamped with the Waves cling stamp from the Aurora collection, that has a really cool graphic print that works well with my rugged design. I wanted more of a distressed look, so I did only partial inking on the stamp to create a random stamping. Some heavy inking on the edges of the papers and stickers add to the masculine feel, too.
Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
