Happy Wednesday, Friends! Today I have a summertime sewing project to share with you.
This cute little owl plushie is a great sewing project for crafters of all ages and skill levels. If you’re handy with a sewing machine, you can turn out this little guy in just a matter of minutes. But if that’s not your skill set, no problem…. this sweet project can just as easily be sewn by hand, or held together with any one of Therm O Web’s fabric adhesives…. or even hot glue will due in a pinch.
The girls and I recently made these cute owls at one of our crafty play dates. This week, we happened to have Paige’s two nieces with us, as well as my own Little Missy, so we needed a project that was quick and easy for all. The basic owl outline can be very easily hand-drawn, or there are lots of free patterns available on the internet. The eyes and beak are very simple also. Just freehand circles and triangles, cut from felt. No pattern needed.
The best part about crafting with a group is seeing how different each project turns out. I dressed my owl in summer patriotic colors with a big checkered bow and a branch perch. Some rusty wire for a hanger. And a pretty rolled flower made from Therm O Web iCraft gold deco foil.
I’ve got a tutorial up on the Therm O Web blog, if you’d like to learn more. And if you’re interested in any of the Therm O Web products I used today, I’ll link you to the supplies below.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Wishing you a wonderful day!
