Quilt-Inspired Papercrafts with Therm O Web

Hi Friends, Happy Wednesday! Today I have a quilt-inspired card to share with you, made with Simple Stories’ new Summer Vibes collection and pretty gold iCraft Deco Foil from Therm O Web.

AudreyPettit Thermoweb DecoFoilBirthdayWishesCardJuly is a big birthday month for me, so I’ve been working on building up my surplus of birthday cards. And what better image for a birthday than a big, ol’ cupcake, right?

AudreyPettit Thermoweb DecoFoilBirthdayWishesCard2I seriously love how fun this cupcake is, and to make sure it took center stage, I created a petite 4×4 card base to really show it off.

There’s water-coloring and paper piecing. Wink of Stella clear glitter and Glossy Accents. The wrapper has been accented with beautiful Rose Gold deco foil. And the background was blocked and embossed for the look and feel of a worn patchwork quilt. Such a fun shabby chic combo.

AudreyPettit Thermoweb DecoFoilBirthdayWishesCard4I’ve got all the details up on the Therm O Web blog, if you’d like to learn more. And if you’re interested in any of the products I’ve used today, I’ll link to them below.

Thanks for stopping by! Wishing you all a wonderful day.

  1. Wow! The cupcake is so pretty, Audrey! I had to take a close look at it! Love the foil on it and the sweet cherries! The background is so colorful and full of texture! Such a pretty fun card…love it!!!

  2. Making the card base small is the perfect way to make that cupcake the focal point. The touch of foil and soft coloring sure make it look yummy. Nice homey feel with the quilted embossing. Delightful!
