Hi everyone! I am back today for day three of sneak peeks over at My Creative Time, and we have another super adorable birthday stamp and die set to share with you. Today’s set is called You Make Life Sweet.

I know I’ve been mentioning how much fun I’ve been having with watercolors lately, and today’s card is no exception. I have made a sugary sweet and shabby birthday card to share, using the adorable ice cream cone and just one of the sentiments from the You Make Life Sweet set. This fun set comes with matching dies, but for today, I just stuck to stamps and watercolors.

The ice cream cone was stamped onto watercolor paper with Distress ink, and then colored in a simple palette of pink and brown Distress. I used an ink blending tool to add color to the background, and finally added a few flicks of brown ink and water droplets to create texture and fun.

Doesn’t that little face just get you? I added tiny highlights to the eyes with a white pen, and then added a bit of Stickles glitter and a gold sequin to the top of the cone. After all, a girl’s got to look her best…
