Life & Nature with Authentique

Hello, Friends, and happy Monday to you! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We’ve now had about five days of non-stop rain and gloom, which seems so strange and un-seasonal for this time of year. It’s definitely starting to alter the summertime vibe around here. And I don’t know about you, but I’m not ready for summer to end. But even if the weather’s not too bright and happy, my project for today is. It’s a fun frame I made recently for the Authentique blog, featuring a creative way to use the new 8×10 Authentic Art Prints.

Creating framed home decor with the new Authentic Art Prints is so quick and easy, and is my favorite thing to do with these fabulous 8×10 prints. Love that you can simply slip them inside a store-bought frame for an instant piece of art for your home. Or if you’re feeling a bit more adventurous, the Art Prints are also perfect for deconstructing and layering for more detailed and three-dimensional pieces, like my shadowbox. Either way, you’re going to love all the creative possibilities of these new prints.

I created my shadowbox as a gift for a friend, who fell in love with the quote from one of the Harmony Art Prints, and the butterfly patterned paper from the 12×12 papers. With just a bit of fussy cutting, and a few finishing accents, I was able to combine her favorites into one frame that will be perfect for dressing up her new art studio. I’ve got the complete tutorial and step-by-step directions up on the Authentique blog, if you’d like to learn more.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Wishing you all a wonderful day.

  1. So fresh and pretty, Audrey! I love the quote and the beautiful paper! Those butterflies are sweet! I’m sure your friend will love this shadow box!

  2. I can relate to the weather problems too, we just had a big storm passing through about the same time and the weather wad blah. Although we needed the rain for the plants so I shouldn’t complain nature has its ways. Love your project you make the best home decor projects!!!
