This week, the design team is sharing fun and creative uses for Zots adhesive dots on the Therm O Web blog. Of course most folks know that Zots glue dots are perfect for adhering embellishments to paper, or just about anything else for that matter. But Zots can also be used in many more creative ways to actually become the embellishment, all on their own.
On the blog are all sorts of fabulous ideas for adding glitter or flower soft to Zots dots and Zips lines, and heat embossing, too. For my project, I came up with an easy way to make faux wax seal embellishments with 3D Zots.
These wax seals are so fun and versatile, and are surprisingly easy to make. Simply cover a 3D Zots dot with embossing powder, heat until melted, and impress with a small rubber stamp to create a pattern.
Simple and fun, right? And better yet, the seals can be made with any color embossing powder, and impressed with any number of texture plates, stamps, or even household items, for tons of unique handmade embellishment ideas.
I’ve got the complete step-by-step tutorial, along with some tips and tricks I discovered along the way, up on the Therm O Web blog, if you’d like to learn more.
Thanks so much for stopping by! It’s our first day of summer vacation today! Can I get an Ah-Yeah?
