My mom always manages to find the most amazing greeting cards. She spends tons of time picking out the perfect one for every occasion. I know she loves them..and I also know how pricey store-bought cards can be. So for this Mother’s Day, I put together a quick and easy notecard set combining two of my most favorite things, fabric and pretty paper.
These cute and whimsical little birdies are actually fabric appliques, made from fabric scraps. I drew simple oval shapes onto the fabric and added quirky hand-drawn pen-work for the legs and features. Simple stamped sentiment banners are stitched to the sides. It was all so quick and easy with the help of Therm O Web’s double-sided iCraft adhesive. I’ve got the complete step-by-steps up on the Therm O Web blog, if you’d like to learn more.

OH LORDY LORDY! This are just super! LOVE the applique — ooooh truly! I’m in love with these (being a birdy person!) Perfect fabric pick… AND those gorgeous hand drawn long legs and little beaks tails are adorable… Also love the way you’ve done your sentiment by the zigzag stitch… PERFECT! (in awe)
