Hero Arts & BasicGrey Spice Market Blog Hop

Hero+BG_BlogHop

Hello everyone, and welcome to the Hero Arts & BasicGrey Spice Market Blog Hop! We are so glad that you could join us for this day of fun, filled with tons of inspiration and project ideas from both teams as we combine the beautiful Spice Market collection by BasicGrey with the matching cling and clear stamps by Hero Arts. We’ve got a fabulous line-up of designers ready to inspire you, and some amazing prizes to give away, too. It is great to see you all! I hope you enjoy!

AudreyPettit BG SpiceMarket FavoriteMemoriesCardYears ago, when I was first bitten by the papercrafting bug, I began as a stamper, so of course I absolutely adore having beautiful and perfectly coordinating stamps to go along with BasicGrey’s gorgeous paper collections. For my project, I created a fun all-occasion card using my favorite Spice Market papers and die cuts along with both the cling and clear matching stamp sets by Hero Arts. Love all the added detail the stamps give to my simple design.

AudreyPettit BG SpiceMarket FavoriteMemoriesCard3That beautiful background is made with the Spice Market Deco Background cling stamp. I stamped the image onto solid teal paper from the 6×6 Paper Pad using clear embossing ink, and heat embossed it with white powder. I then die cut the panel with a card front die that gave it those fun notched corners before stitching the piece down onto my patterned paper card base.

AudreyPettit BG SpiceMarket FavoriteMemoriesCard4The main focal flowers and fun little chevron arrow are from the Spice Market Best Time Ever clear stamp set. I inked the stamps with pretty Hero Arts shadow inks, using two colors for the flower heads and arrow,  and lightly spritzed them with water before stamping the images onto water color paper.  The arrow was fussy cut and added to the floral panel that I die cut with a notebook-edged die for interest.

Framed the cut with more pretty papers and wrapped the whole with twill trim. The fun border was made with another image from the Best Time Ever set, stamped once again onto water color paper and trimmed into a double-ended banner strip.

Now it’s time for me to send you on your way. But first, is anybody interested in some prizes?

SPC_HERO_PrizeHero Arts and BasicGrey will be giving away two complete Spice Market collections — including paper, embellishments, clear and cling stamps. The two winners will be randomly selected from all comments received on the participating designers’ blogs, so don’t forget to leave those comments.  The more comments you leave along the hop, the better your odds of winning!
All comments must be received by 11:59pm PST on Sunday, March 2. The two randomly selected winners will be announced on March 5th on both the Hero Arts and BasicGrey blogs. Good luck, everyone!
