Hiya Sweeties! Wishing you all a very happy Valentine’s Day from snowy, icy North Carolina! I am very excited that the big day is here, and even more excited that as of this moment when I am typing this (Thursday afternoon), we still have power! But as a second wave of the storm is hitting us now and several more inches of ice and snow are predicted for the rest of the day, I figured I should take advantage and pre-schedule another post while I can.
In honor of the holiday today, several of the BasicGrey Baker’s Dozen gals have put together some special Valentine’s cards to share with you, and I am so excited to be joining along. My teammates were all given different collections to highlight, including some digital designs, so be sure to pop by the blog to see what everyone came up with. As for me, I used the adorable new Highline collection on my fun and funky card.
The bold patterns and bright colors of the Highline collection are an absolute breath of fresh air after all this dreary winter weather. I had a ton of fun putting together this bright Valentine card for my little Missy using the 6×6 Paper Pad, a 4×6 Snippet card, and lots of fun accents from the Die Cuts & Transparencies. I think the beautiful watercolor brush strokes and graphic prints of Highline perfectly capture her artistic, teenage spirit.
I love combining a mixture of elements for a very eclectic look, and the Highline collection does just that. Here I paired some rugged, natural woodgrain from the Snippets cards, with bold, graphic patterned papers and vellum tape, with a touch of elegant lace to finish things off. Love the look! It’s quirky, and totally fun!
Thanks so much for stopping by! Wishing you all a wonderful and special day spent with those you love most! And before I go, I’ll leave you with this funny that rather perfectly sums up our situation here. Love ya all!
