“Smitten” True Love Wall Hanging

I’m back from my weekend scrapping adventure in Myrtle Beach, where as predicted, I did not accomplish too much in the way of scrapping. Get a large group of crazy ladies together, and there’s bound to be more talking, laughing, and goofing off, than any real work being tackled. Even so, it was really nice to get away. I love the beach….even if it was too cold for more than a few brief minutes walk along the shore.  Just to be there, watching the waves crash and listening to the sound of the surf, is a rejuvenating experience to me.

AudreyPettit-Smitten-TrueLoveHangingBut now I’m back, and ready to share some fun projects with you. I’ve got a busy week here on the blog that I’m really excited about, starting with a sweet Valentine hanging today that I made with Authentique’s adorable Valentine collection, Smitten.

AudreyPettit-Smitten-TrueLoveHanging3As you all probably know by now, I am a huge fan of holiday decorating, and little wall hangings such as these are one of my favorite quick and easy project ideas. For this hanging, I made use of some leftover pages of an acrylic mini album that I’ve been saving. By connecting two pages together through their pre-existing holes and adding a wire to the top for a handle, you have the perfect base for a wall hanging. So quick and fun, and a great way to stretch your scrapbooking supplies!

I added some messy paint to the base, and then loaded my hanging up with papers and embellishments. I have the complete step-by-step directions and supply list up on the Authentique blog, if you’d like to learn more.
AudreyPettit-Smitten-TrueLoveHanging2Thanks so much for stopping by, my friends! I hope you all had an amazing weekend! I leave you with some photos of my crazy scrapbooking gals…
