Hello friends, and happy Friday to you all! As you read this, I am off in Myrtle Beach, on my annual scrapbooking retreat with the girls. Hopefully I’m working hard and getting a lot done….which means most likely I’m too busy talking, snacking, and carrying on to get any actual scrapping in. But that’s just fine with me!
I have a card to share with you today that I made with BasicGrey’s adorable Fresh Cut collection, including some of the coordinating Fresh Cut stamps. I love how the embossed raindrops background add a whole extra layer of detail to my card, without actually adding any extra bulk. I created some fun framework, too, with lots of machine stitching around the edges of the card and paper strips, and colored the outside of the frame with Copic marker for another visual layer. Looks kinda complicated, but really it’s not. Love being sneaky that way!
The sentiment is a Fresh Cut stamp, too, stamped, colored, and fussy cut from patterned paper. I added a bit of trim and a chipboard bird. And then a little final framework using a pair of colorful wax seals. I have more details along with a complete supply list up on the BasicGrey blog, if you’d like to learn more.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
