Holiday Joy with BasicGrey

No matter how much warning I have that the holidays are coming, it always seems like Christmas manages to sneak up on me so quickly. And even when I make my best effort to get ahead of the game early, I always find myself going right down to the wire with holiday preparations. This weekend I whipped up a batch of my famous peanut brittle, and I made a pretty big dent in my wrapping…but there’s still more to go. Always seems there’s more to go.

AudreyPettit BG Monogram Joy5I still have a few holiday projects to share with you all, too. Today I have a holiday home decor altered frame up on the BasicGrey blog.

AudreyPettit BG Monogram Joy4I have long been a fan of BasicGrey’s amazing paper collections, but did you know they also make these large wall frames and chipboard monograms? The two-piece monograms fit perfectly inside the frame opening, and can be dressed up with patterned paper and embellishments, or left as-is for a classic and clean look. I love the idea of highlighting a single letter, for perhaps your family name or the first letter of your child’s name. Or, you can mix and match the shapes, like I did here with this festive holiday frame. The possibilities are truly endless.

AudreyPettit BG Monogram Joy3Isn’t that snowman fun? He is made from my Tim Holtz Alterations snowman die, paper pieced using papers from the Best of BasicGrey pad. I’ve got the full step-by-steps up on the blog, if you’d like to learn more.

AudreyPettit BG Monogram Joy2So, just two more days to go. Please tell me I’m not the only one who’s not ready!
